LazerTag : Team Ops 2-player setProduct reviews...
After playing with these during a fun friendly game with a mate and fellow reviewer who was unaware of my penchant for combat games, I have mixed feelings about this kit.
The thunder pack was, at best a little weak, and worst quite annoying and distracting, but the sniper scope is very similar to the high-end laser-dot scope I used on my custom-built .45 Desert Eagle semi-automatic pistol back in my days living in a military camp and competing in the national under-21's Steel Challenge Speed shoots. It gives a great edge to aiming at speed... simply look down the barrel, and when the dot (green in this case) is on your target, you are locked in and ready to blast away.
Overall, a bit of a mixed bag this one... but at under $20, it's a pretty good deal for the dedicated player. You'll find the scope enhances your skills, and the thunder pack just gives you a slight added feedback that you can easily do without. If you are really playing the game, you'll be too busy moving to notice the slight buzz.
I really liked the extra feedback the thunder pack gave me but the big highlight is the scope. at anything more than 5 feet my aim is rotten but with the scope all I had to do was get the green dot aimed at the moving blur and as soon as the gun told me I was locked on by flashing my heads up display at me I pulled the rigger and was able to score a few hits from about 20 feet away. I will be buying a set of these when I buy my 2-player kit because I need every bit of help I can get. -haha- ![]()

Yuck. Not as slick or sleek as they claim to be - two people standing two metres away, aiming at the sensor dish and shooting constantly will only get a hit about 20% of the time. Younger children(12 and below) might be interested in this, but older children, who prefer to be able to demonstrate their skill will *not* like this toy.
