I read book one of this series and thoroughly enjoyed it so was very excited to get my hands on the sequel well now I have read the second book I am officially hooked on the series and know now I need to read all 13 of the books to find out where the Last Thirteen Prophecy ends up. Book one left us with the biggest cliff hanger not knowing if the character Sam would make it and where that would leave the future of the Last Thirteen so I must admit it was hard waiting for so long to find out.

Thankfully my questions were answered in the first few pages of the book, it was quite an interesting twist in the story which continued to get more and more strange as the story went on. What I have learnt from the story is you never know who to trust and it's hard to get a handle on who is working for who but I will leave it at that so as not to spoil the story for others. I must say I was relieved that Sam gets through this and continues on with the race to find the Last Thirteen and save the world.

In this story we see Sam travel a bit unlocking more clues as to how he will find the Last Thirteen and what exactly it is they will need to achieve in this race. In this book another one of the last thirteen is found on a journey and adventure to Italy no chance of a dull moment as Solaris continues to turn up at every opportunity but who exactly is this Solaris guy and how will Sam and the others continue to rise above him in order to win the race! The next member of the Last Thirteen Gabriella seems to me a bit different than Sam and not a person you would expect to be among the chosen ones.

I personally would of thought Eva would of been one of the Last Thirteen which seems more likely than Gabriella but I am sure in future books we will get to know Gabriella a bit more and see her character change and grow. Again as with book one this book leaves you on a cliffhanger wondering what happens next such a clever way to make you hang out for the next book!

It has been a while since I read the first book from this series, and this book did not disappoint! Book 1 was left on a big cliff-hanger, so I was glad that it could finally be resolved. BIG surprise regarding Solaris. I'll leave it there to avoid spoilers. Wink Icon Since it has been a while, I found the initial storyline a bit confusing, but I was able to recover and enjoy this. It was interesting to find out who the next of the last 13 Dreamers was, and how she was found, and was also amazing to find out what was inside the mysterious "Star of Egypt".

The book was descriptive, although there were a few points where it was a bit hard to envision the scene, but, as I said, that is probably because I haven't read this series for a while. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and the characters were enjoyable as well, except for the enemies. I was surprised to find out that the thing the Last 13 are doing is trying to build something, which now makes me even more anxious to read the next book to find out more.

The price was great, easily affordable by most, but not so cheap as too be disproportionate to the value of the book. I am confident that I'll be reading this book again sometime in the near future, as this book was a good read and will be good to go back through if I end up re-reading book 1. I found this book a great thing to settle down with, and the reason is that I lost track of time while reading. To sum up my total feelings for this book: I loved it, and would love to re-read it!
