A few years back, when my dial up connection was discontinued by my regular provider, one of my tamariki offered to get me hooked up on something better as part of his work plan. He works for a big company that does some fancy tech stuff I barely understand but part of it is that they were willing to provide me with a better connection and pay for it as long as I was willing to do a bit of work for them once a month. Seemed simple enough, and it has been. Means I get to watch my favourite TV shows any time I want without adverts.
So, the company they chose to act as a service provider is this lot. Nice crowd, always on the other end of the phone if I have a question with my email or something has gone wrong and I can't get through to the websites. Most of the time my problems turn out to have nothing to do with the internet connection at all, and seem to be in my computer instead, but these guys are always happy to help an old fella out without hesitation.
About a month ago I got an email saying that my plan was being officially retired and I was going to be moved onto a new plan. I was worried it would mean the loss of my connection, but no. it turned out the price was the same and I would just get a bucket load more megabytes to use. Not sure what that means to me because as far as I know I have never run out of them, but if they want to say "Here, have some more" who am I to argue?
I have been with them now for almost 3 years and I have never had a disconnection, slow-down, or jam up with them. My previous service provider was pretty stink in comparison because I was having to ring them at least once a month because of billing errors, shonky service, bad connection, or noise on my phone line. Nothing like that in years with these guys and I love being on their network.
