A compelling family card game for all ages.

Players have 10 cards to play, the goal being to get rid of your cards and avoid having to pick up more... because these 'blockhead' cards will cost you.

Contents:
    •  104 playing cards, numbered 1-104
    •  1 game book

Some people may be familiar with the game of "Scum" (goes by various other names. The basic idea being the last person to get rid of their cards is "scum".) In several respects this reminded me of a shorter version of "Scum" only without the annoyingly impossible battle to climb up to King!

Each player has 10 cards, there are also 4 rows down on the table. The idea is to put your cards in ascending order on the row closest to the card number you want to play. For example, the 4 rows may start with 1, 16, 23 and 55. If your card is 25 then you would play it on the row starting with 23.

So that it's not too simple each row can have no more than 5 cards. If the card you want to play has to go on a row with 5 cards then you have to pick up those cards.

Each card also has a "block head" value (number of bull heads pictured). Therefore the strategy comes in choosing which cards to play and when, as well as avoiding picking up high block head numbered cards. The person with the lowest number of blockheads is of course the winner.

There is also an advanced version of the game which we didn't play but which does up the ante a bit.

We really enjoyed this and found that it was very easy to learn. I think it's one of those nice easy card games that you can pull out any time for either a quick game or a full on tournament. It nice and easy for kids to play as well and has an educational element to it with them needing to work out the ascending order and also which row they need to place their card in.

This is one we will be wanting to add to our games cupboard. Thumbs Up
