All-new feature length DVD! Direct to DVD movie. Narrated by Pierce Brosnan.
Thomas gets lost in the mountains and discovers an old town and soon the whole island is buzzing with the news of Thomas' discovery!
'The great discovery' was an awesome dvd. In the past my children have been totally into Thomas the Tank Engine but in the last few years have lost interest. This Dvd sparked that interest again.
As well as being an interesting story line it is also emotionally educational. It explores such feelings as rejection and inadequacy, jealousy and being mean to others. It lets you know that it is ok to be 'you' and that we all have different strengths and weaknesses but if we work together things can go well.
My four boys who are 9, 5, 4 and nearly two watched this Dvd from beginning to end without moving a muscle. This just goes to show that it is appropriate for a wide range of ages. I would have no qualms about paying $19.99 for this Dvd, in fact I think it is very well priced.
Believeability.... well, it is a talking train!
Great Dvd, I highly recommend it.

In 1956 the massively popular radio show "Hancock's Half Hour" transferred to the flourishing new BBC television service. Here, Tony Hancock, 'the lad himself', continued his role as East Cheam's antagonistic, socially aspirational misanthrope, as writers Galton and Simpson adapted his role for the small screen.
Contains five episodes and a bonus Christmas special.
