In this day and age, commercial printing can be a nightmare. Do they have all the right fonts? How do I make sure that their version of a font matches what I am seeing? Can I ensure the colours will be right? Will the page reshuffle due to different print margins on their printer?
It can all mean a total bog of a day, if the small-time operators don't keep up to date, and the bigger companies don't want to know you unless you are ordering 1,000 units or more. So what do you do?
You click one button, or print to the Adobe PDF print driver, and bingo, your worries are vastly reduced. You let Acrobat take over! Whether an eCard for the family, or a 500-page catelogue exported from your database, Acrobat seems to be the one-stop shop for your portable media files.
You can out-source print jobs with total confidence, knowing that WYSentIWYG for certain!
And should you be on the receiving end, you can view, edit, crop and print files with an astounding array of tools and features at your mousetip.
Overall, I can sum it up in 6 words: "How did I cope without this?!" However, the price is still a slight drawback, keeping this out of the range of a large number of potential well-users. But as was once said, all good things come at a price.
