Fly-Away Ladybug product reviews

This is a very popular book. The Ladybug has dangly legs and goes on a journey through the forest.

Fly Away Ladybug takes baby along on Mama Ladybug's flight through a colourful world of flowers and trees and sparkling raindrops, all the way home. An easy-to-hold handle lets your baby take Mama Ladybug along on other adventures, too!

This book has a crinkly substance in every page, and I initially though this would be overwhelming for my 5.5 month old. I was wrong, he loved scrunching it, and would do so for up to 10 or 15 minutes at a time. The handles could also be used to tie it to a cushion and he could look down on it from his jolly jumper and jump on the crinkly pages which he found very amusing. The handles and the beautiful red and black on the cover seemed very visually appealing to him too. I liked the fact that this babies book had words in it as I am not good on making up stories and it gave me a starting point when talking to him about the pictures. The dangly legs however where of no interest to him and caused only frustration to me when he had it in the car seat or buggy and I was trying to deal with buckles. These could be removed. The handles, although soft, could be used to attach this toy to a buggy, cot or car seat with some plastic links.
