The Forever Torch product reviews

The Forever Torch is the torch that never lets you down. Also known as the Eternity Flashlight.

We all know that when we need a torch we need it now! There is nothing worse than finding your torch, just to find the batteries have all gone flat. No need to worry about flat batteries or broken bulbs anymore, the Forever Torch can be relied on to work everytime.

That's because there are no batteries or bulbs in this revolutionary torch. Using Faraday's Law Of Induction, gently shaking the torch to and frow passes a very powerful magnet through a copper coil, which in turn creates an electric current. The current is then stored in a capacitor which in turn powers a very strong LED.

After the initial charge up, all future charges takes just 20 to 30 seconds of movement to generate enough electrical energy to power up the super bright LED for up to 5 minutes. Need more time? Just a couple of shakes when you're using it to recharge. The Forever Torch is the only torch you should have for those earthquake kits, survival kits, the glove box or boats, all the places where you store a torch but forget to check the batteries.

Don't be caught out without a Forever Torch.

OK, so how many sets of batteries have you had to buy for your torch? And how many times have you had to swap them over because right when you need to peer under the sink and find that leak, they're flat? Yup, no matter how much you whack it, shake it or flip the switch back and forth, it just sits there...

dead...

unilluminating...

useless...

Me too... too many times, too many batteries. I had one torch sit in the boot so long it corroded it's way through the metal case and rust-welded itself to the bodywork!

Never again! Stong and durable blue-white LED lightsource. Study plastic case, fully sealed. Magnetic-induction power generation source. No batteries required, ever... and now you have a constructive reason for shaking it around like a puppy with your favourite slipper. Faraday and Maxwell, eat ya heart out! (And sincerest thanks for your wonderful maths that made such things possible!)

Have one in the boot or glovebox, another in your first-aid and/or survival kit, and grab one for the kids' bedroom so they can make sure there's no monsters under the bed. Ummm... and maybe a couple scattered around the house, maybe one in the bathroom, one for the kitchen utensil drawer, and, umm... heck, these things are so neat you should give a few away as gifts to friends and loved ones! After all, you care about them enough to want them to be safe in any conditions, right? Wink Icon

Overall, seriously... I am a great fan of renewable energy sources and any device that can tap otherwise wasted energy and convert it to a useful purpose, so this torch rates right up there in my book. ("Ya don't say? Never would have guessed!" you say...) I would love to see the EQC buy a few hundred thousand of these and issue them to householders in high-risk zones, like flood zones, the poor folks up in New Plymouth who got trashed by the tornado, etc. In the meantime, get browsing to the website and get yourself a few. Could save your life one day...
