Nando's - KapitiProduct reviews...
Nando's is my new favourite place to eat!!! Takeaway type food that is... Going into the restaurant is always a pleasure - the smells that come from the kitchen are devine! Overall, the staff are always cheerful and friendly, and generally knowledgeable about the food. Which brings me to the focus of any restaurant - THE FOOD!!!
How does one describe heaven? Ok, I'll admit to being a bit of a spicy-freak... but periperi has got to be one of the best flavourings you can ever have!!!
The menu consists mainly of chicken products that are marinated in the periperi sauce for 24 hours before eating - which gives the chicken a lovely flavour!! There are varying degrees of hotness for the chicken - mild through to very hot... which I haven't yet braved, even though I love spicy food! The HOT is just enough to give me a tang but still let me taste the food... All the chicken is barbequed fresh for each order so you are guaranteed to get your food hot and tasty - and made to your own liking!
My partner and I have ordered a variety of menu items and have yet to find anything we don't like! There are burgers, chicken wings, thighs, half chickens, salads... and they are all good! We often buy the mixed platter (good for leftovers for lunch!) which has wings, tenders, a half chicken and my all time fav... periperi seasoned chips ~swoons~ There is more than enough for 2 in this meal, and with your choice of seasoning for each type of chicken, you can get a variety of heats for all those who eat (just in case you have someone with delicate tastebuds!) ~drools at the thought of it all~
Not only is the food you can get in the restaurant (or to takeaway) very tasty and scrumptious, but you can pick up sauces and marinades to take home too - and I will never be without a bottle of the sauce in the cupboard! Tis great for marinades, barbeques, dressings... I could go on and on... ~blush~
As I said, I love the place... and recommend it to everyone!!!
