Jewellery making and bead work are crafts I have been wanting to get into for such a long time, that I leapt at the chance to review this book. A brief flick through had me eager to give several of the projects a try, and wanting to rush out to the nearest bead supplier!
For each project, the instructions were clearly laid out and easy to follow, with a basic step-by-step process for several techniques that I have often wondered how to do shown in the back, along with a list of the tools of the trade. The creations themselves all had a simple, yet elegant beauty to them, rather than some bead/jewellery making books I-ve come across in the past where the projects have lookedÂ- wellÂ- trashy, or just way over done.
Being a complete beginner in this kind of thing, I was a little worried I-d have trouble with some of the techniques, but they truly were easy to follow. Once I-ve worked through a few more of the projects in this book, I think I-ll be tracking down some of the others in the series. If you-re into arts-n-crafts, and especially bead projects, Â"Bead Fantasies IVÂ" is well worth giving a go.
