The Wish List product reviews

Meg Finn is in trouble. Unearthly trouble. A botched attempt to rob a pensioner's flat ends with a fatal gas explosion and puts Meg in a very sticky situation. Her soul is up for grabs as Heaven and Hell try every sneaky trick imaginable to claim it. Helping a lonely old man complete tasks on his wish list is her only chance. But even if she takes that chance, will she really have enough points to face up to St Peter?

Meg and Belch have done some despicable deeds at times, and this, Meg's first break-in, ends up with both of them being killed in a freak accident. Belch goes to Hell, Meg-she has to help Lowrie complete his tasks to complete his life, to decide her fate.
This book is a departure from Colfer's usual science-fiction/fantasy genre, but is an indication of Colfer's versatility as a writer, to produce a cast of very believable characters in a light-hearted romp around Ireland.
I cannot rate Colfer's books highly enough, and I think the acid test for any book, is if it can be read by young and old. I have been reading this book to my daughter, and have thoroughly recommended this book to my grandmother. Both love this book, and that is why you should read it too.
