I had been looking for ages for something fun for my son as he loves trains. So for christmas in 2011 we brought him train tracks, with the trains and he was loving it, and all of a sudden he stopped playing with it, it was becoming boring for him as there was only 42 pieces all up and that included the trains, trees etc not just the tracks. We could only make one sort of track and that got boring to play with.

We have gone and got him more sets for him with bridges etc and he loves it, plays with it every single night and the tracks just get bigger and better. I love big jigs because they have a great wooden track and it allows other wooden tracks with the same connects to connect with it, it makes me go back to them.

My son loves his train set so much and adding more and more too it, he is 3 years old and will sit for hours at a time to play, bonus for me as I can get so much done around the house or get dinner on and he will be happy. I would recommend this type of train track to anyone with kids over the plastic ones as wooden ones last longer

We got given one of these train sets for our son for his first birthday he was a little too young to play with it straight away as a set but he was really interested in the trains and the carriages. In the last couple of months he has been getting more interested in it, if I build a simple track he can push the trains on the track but he is still at the stage where he breaks the track apart so it is all just exploring at the moment.

The set is really cool we got a basic kit so it just has a couple of trains and enough track pieces to build a simple track. To go with it we were gifted some carriages personalised with my son's name which I thought was a nice personal touch and one I think he will find pretty cool when he is a bit older. The trains and carriages are really good quality and seem really sturdy I can't imagine the wheels would come off very easily. I love that they are wooden and like the magnet catch system rather than having to muck around with fiddly clasps to connect the trains.

I think we will end up adding more to it as he gets older as it is a really cool set and good quality brand. The tracks connect really easily and the trains can travel around the tracks easily without getting stuck on any ridges.
