This is one of the few movies that I grew up with that I love just as much today as I did back when I watched it as a child. Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town but he's starting to wonder if there is more, and why does he feel so empty. One day when out on a walk he finds doorways to other places and he ends up in the North Pole. He falls in love with Christmas and decides to take over it.

While I grew up watching this, I don't think that my five year old (or younger children) would enjoy this movie yet as some of the creatures that inhabit Halloween Town are a bit scary, but when they're a little older they can join me for my yearly viewing of this sometime during the week before Christmas.

Jack's Lament is my favourite song in this movie and in fact I enjoy it a lot more than most Disney movies songs. This movie has some fun songs but Jack's Lament and What's This are the best two of the movie. I highly recommend this movie.

Directed by Gary Ross

Product image for The Hunger GamesEvery year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which "Tributes" must fight with one another until one survivor remains.
