I love a good murder, especially when I am involved in some way and for me this ticked all the boxes. One of my friends introduced me to this and I loved it, so much so that we have already booked and paid for the next show. This will be on 27 April and it is Madd Hatter's Dinner Party - Murder by chocolate bunny. The shows are done approximately every two months.

Just a bit of history about Angell Productions and the show, all the actors are volunteers. The first show was a bit of a joke, then they were asked to do a murder mystery at a wedding, from there it has taken off. Regulars in the cast are Sister Charity (sometimes she is not a sister), nun by day, secret scientist by night. Then there is Polly (sometimes she is a nun), Polly, Illegimate daughter of Lady Greystoke, she was raised by Sister Charity in Rhodesia and has a cousin called Penny who sometimes has the most amazing hair. there is also the very sexy Kiki nobody knows where she came from she just turned up one day, but you have to watch her. And of course we cannot forget the train guard, who smiles no matter who dies and how it is done.

The best way to enjoy the evening is to make sure you dress for the occasion. The show I went to was flapper theme, it was great as I have always loved that era. The evening starts at around 6.30pm, at the Waiuku Cosmopolitan Club the cast walk around talking to you (make sure you listen to EVERYTHING), You are based for the first and last part of the evening at the restaurant where you are served an amazing Bistro and carvery meal with desert. Around 8-8.30 you go up to the train station where you hop on board one of the steam trains from Glenbrook Vintage Railway and you go riding through the countryside until you arrive at Glenbrook Vintage Railway itself. You are able to get off at this time, the drivers allow you to hop up and see the engine, you can have a quick look around Glenbrook (its not open), but make sure you dont go far or you might miss something important, like a drink, fruit, chocolate or even a murder. After being rushed back onto the train you are whisked back to the Cossie Club, where amazingly everyone is alive????? and it is up to you to guess who? Why? How? what ever is required.

The cost is $70.00 per person, this covers your Dinner and the train ride, so any drinks you may want are not included. If you are a returning witness, you are offered a discount. A few days after the show photos that are taken during the night are displayed for you to see and copy if you wish.
