I really enjoyed this book from the first page to the last. In reading this book I felt like I was right beside Margaret on her journey.
Since the RMS Titanic is one of the most famous ships in history there have been countless memoirs recorded, including the hollywood blockbuster "Titanic". I found it hartd not to compare this book to the movie, as both have a love bond between two people as the main characters and of course, the same characters involved ie Captain Smith, Mr Andrews, Colonel Astor, and Mr Hollings.
I do realise this is Margaret-Jane Brady's diary of her journey from the orphanage to going on the Titanic to America, however I thought there might have been more said about her life and her family before she arrived at the orphanage.
I love the timeline that has been added at the back of the book, as it helped me fully understand what happened when, on that dreadful night.
The pictures also gives you a sense of realisation of what the people had to go through and how scary it was for the victims and survivors. One of the pictures in particular portrayed exactly how grand the Titanic was in it's heyday.
I will defiantely be reading this book again.
