Wireless Optical Stow-N-Go Laptop Mouse - AMW25US product reviews

The Targus Wireless Optical Stow-N-Go Notebook Mouse features a stow-and-go USB receiver that attaches securely to the bottom of the mouse for added portability and convenience.

The receiver also triggers an On/Off switch to help conserve power when the mouse is not in use for up to 6 months** of battery life. The built in low power indicator light lets the user know when to change the two AA batteries.

The integrated tilt wheel* provides 4-way scrolling for easy navigation by enabling users to scroll vertically and horizontally.

This mouse offers RF technology coupled with switchable 1600/1200/800 dpi resolution allowing for adjustable cursor speeds - ideal for today’s widescreen notebooks - and features a soft-touch design for added comfort during use.

The dual-purpose ergonomic design is small enough for travel yet big enough for comfortable desktop operation.

The first thing you will notice about the Wireless Optical Stow-N-Go notebook mouse is its small yet ergonomical design which sports metallic coloring with black sides. The size is actually 9.52 x 5.97 x 3.81cm with a weight of just 114 grams.

It also fitted comfortably within my hand without it being too small and best of all, the installation was a breeze which simply auto-installed on both our Windows Vista machine and Mac.

The unit comes with two AA batteries that even when installed is still exceptionally light for a mouse and when installed with the Targus software, it has an automatic on/off switch that extends the battery life and is perfect for users on the go.

When the unit is running low on power, the built-in power indicator will inform the user, however as the device is quite new and Targus boasts a 6-month battery, we did not have the luxury of testing this. Needless to say, 6-months is quite impressive, although heavy gaming or usage will effect this end result.

The receiver for the unit is quite small which connects to a spare USB port and when not used, the receiver sits nicely into the bottom of the mouse for added storage convenience.

So how does the mouse hold up with the latest operating systems? Perfectly is the answer as the Stow-N-Go notebook mouse features selectable 1600, 1200 and 800 optical DPI resolutions which allowed for extremely smooth navigation and quite impressive responsiveness.

It also features a tilt wheel that can move in four different directions and is perfect for surfing the net. At the end of the day, the mouse is quite impressive for a wireless device that even worked perfectly with games such as Spore, Call of Duty and Civilization Revolution.

In conclusion, the Targus Wireless Optical Stow-N-Go Notebook mouse is the perfect accessory for those notebook users on the go who wish to have the quality of a desktop mouse, however with the portability of a notebook mouse.

With a sleek design, easy installation and some sturdy software features, the Wireless Optical Stow-N-Go notebook mouse fits snuggly in your hand and will give you true desktop performance while you're on the go and best of all, the receiver neatly fits into the bottom of the mouse. It's the perfect design!
