I love this place, and will definately be going back in the near future.

This place has wonderful creamy coffee, without the bitter after taste. My daughter also wolfed down her hot choclate.

The Crepes are delicious. Having only been to the Crown Creperie once, I will definately be going back. The staff are friendly, and it's great knowing you can have a nosey to see how they make your food. My 2 and a half yr old daughter's favourite Crepe has to be the Nutella and Banana. It's so scrummy. Be warned, it can get very sickly sweet.

I have never really been a waffle eater, but the waffles here are absolutely fabulous! With cream and a bit of fruit salad, it's finger licking good, and sure to make you feel better with eating fruit with all that syrup!

The shop itself is quite small, but to me that increases the staff/customer connection. I feel the shop needs better signage out the front as I nearly walked straight past it. I also feel signage at the back of the shop on King St would attract many more patrons. Apart from having to pay for parking the location is mint, being in the middle of town. However, take away is an option so hopefully I can time it right without the parking warden noticing the lack of ticket in my car!

There are few places in this fair city of ours where $10 can fill you to the gunnels and still leave you wanting more, but unable to fit it in. If you shorten that list by taking expecting friendly staff, a casual atmosphere, and the ability to dine-in or take-away as you wish, then the list is awfully short indeed... and sitting at the very top is the latest addition to Palmy's dining array, The Crown Creperie.

Situated roughly in between the Westpac bank and The Regent Theatre, this little gem is tucked away in the front half of the old "Mango Music" store. The 'main man', Royce Crown, is probably the most charismatic character to grace our streets in a while, with a combination of Canadian and Australian culture and a wicked grin. With a cheeky grin on his face, he's always quick to say "Gidday" and chat about how he does his culinary magic, turning scoop of batter into a light, tasty crepe, and then stuffs it with your choice from a smorgasbord of ingredients, transforming it into a belly-stuffing meal, a sweet dessert treat, or a walk-away snack.

With a range of beverages, both hot and cold, to add to this, you really are in for a one-stop food shop experience when you come and visit. My advice: have your first one dine-in. Listen to the French music, chat with the staff, watch as your meal comes together, grab a coffee or hot chocolate, and sit down to enjoy tastebud-tingling delight. To make things even more tempting, check out the specials board for some great money-saving ways to pack the furnace... ask about his $9 deal, check out the "buy two, get one free" deals on Mondays and Tuesdays, or if you have enjoyed a show at The Regent, be sure to hold onto your ticket stub for a discount off your crepes. * Note: Offers are subject to change without prior notice, so please check availability at the time of your visit.

After much "research", I have decided that my personal favourite has to be the Smoked Chicken and Mayo. For a little extra, I can add cheese, spinach and tomato to it, and a dash of mustard. This is an absolute wonder to eat... and works just as well if I swap the chicken for tuna. The garlic mayo adds a real zing, with the mustard joining in with a dash of bite that I would normally get from onion. What a feed! And by using some vouchers downloaded off the internet*, I can add a hot drink and a couple of fluffy pancakes drizzled in butter and real Canadian maple syrup... and all for only $9.00! It's stunning really...

Overall... my only tiny gripe with this place is that being right on Broadway, parking isn't cheap. It'll cost you $1 to park long enough to enjoy your feed without rushing through it and giving yourself bloats... if you can find parking there at all. I suggest you look to park up on Grey Street or one of the off-streets and walk down to the shop through The Regent Arcade. But trust me on this... it's worth the effort to get there!
