TL-SF1005D 5-port 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Switch provides 5 10/100Mbps Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports. All ports support Auto MDI/MDIX function, eliminating the need for crossover cables or Uplink ports. This little switch-box arrived by courier and within 3 minutes, I had it set up and ready to go.
It is small, light-weight, and easy enough to use, that my technology-unsavvy mother could use it.
It's transfer speed has little-to-no impact on my browsing speed, and I have not yet noticed a difference in my internet, or local-transfer speeds. Using three internet connections off the same switch, has the same effect as using one.
It allows you to set up your own LAN (Local area Network) off of the one ADSL modem, and is great for homes or small businesses. It's very cost effective, only costing me a low $31, it is literally plug-and-play simple.
