For the past couple of years my girls have been obsessed with Shopkins. From having the little toys scattered all over the house, to begging to have the Shoppie Dolls, to sitting and watching hours of online videos of people opening there Shopkins packages and then putting on silly voices and playing with them, to buying reference books so they know all the up-to-date details. To begging to have the new season or the glitter version or getting an ultra rare. Yes its pretty fair to say that my girls love there Shoppies. Although, this is the first time I have watched them and actually got to learn things besides what I have been told by my girls.

My first thought was there legs are so weird they are narrow up the top and then they come out like triangles, when I commented about it - I was promptly told that is what a Shoppie is. My next thought is that the movie felt like a colouring book, a very vivid colouring book with lots of colour splattered on the page. My next thought was there are a lot of characters and each as its own identity. I felt like I was watching a very old superhero show as each time a new character popped up on the screen they name appeared with them. That lasted throughout the movie and while I found it a tad annoying both my girls loved that about the movie.

The movie is entertaining enough especially when Bubbleisha would make up facts while making a vlog and someone would always say 'that is not true'. The plane trip actually made me feel rather dizzy especially when it showed them doing continuous loops that lasted way to long, I ended up having to close my eyes to keep my sanity. I did enjoy skipping around the world as everyone was trying to find Kooky Cookie, if only I could win a competition like this one.

I have to say my youngest daughter was totally engrossed with this movie she hardly moved she was totally glued to the screen. When it finished she asked if we could watch it again and said she 'loved it'. Where my eldest who is just about nine (eeeeekkkkk) I think has passed the toy stage now said she enjoyed it but I doubt she would sit thru it another time. I can appreciate it for what it is and it definitely is aimed at the younger generation. It is harmless fun and the bad guys are cute enough. For any Shoppie fans out there I totally recommend this movie, much better then watching other people open there packages that is for sure!
