All Because of a Cup of Coffee product reviews

I, Geronimo Stilton, was in love! I went out for a cup of coffee one morning and laid eyes on the most beautiful rodent I'd ever seen. Unfortunately, I immediately tripped over my paws and ended up with my tail in a toaster!

I was one mortified mouse. But I was determined to prove that I wasn't a complete stumblemouse. So I decided to join my family on their most daring adventure yet - a journey to the eighth wonder of the world! There I made a discovery so truly amazing, I knew I could win the heart of my darling ratlette...

I made the mistake of introducing my son to Geronimo Stilton and expecting him not to like the books, I picked him up from school one day with his nose buried in a book. He was over the moon when I told him that we have a heap of Geronimo books at home and he asked if this book was one as it sounds like a great book to read (his words) and when he realised that he can buy it from Mightyape that was his next purchase.

I had to wait to read the book as he opened his parcel and buried his nose in the book without even blinking. I asked his opinion and he said that he did enjoy the book but it is a "rough copy" and not as refined as the later books. I had to read it for myself and see what made him say that. I found that the story was what I had come to expect from Geronimo but the exciting and colourful fonts were missing, well they were there but only a few on each page and not as plentyful as later books. The cheesy jokes and references were there but I missed the colourful double paged illustrations and the explanations that come along in later books. I know that authors develop characters slowly and that most things get better with time and this was certainly the case with this book.

We are starting to get a rather large Geronimo Stilton collection and this book is part of it, my boys refuse to let it go.
