After having sampled the Lewis Road Creamery - Whitakers Chocolate Milk several times and being quite a fan of it I had huge expectations for this milk expecting it to be just as good, if not better than it's chocolate counterpart.

So this morning I finally managed to get my hot little hands on a bottle of this liquid gold Fresh Vanilla Milk that seems to be selling like hot cakes nationwide. I unscrewed the lid and took a mouthful and I have to say I was very dissapointed as this was sadly not what I was expecting after loving the chocolate milk so much. The vanilla milk is made from Lewis Road creamery milk and premium, hand-selected and organically grown Heilala Vanilla beans which is supposedly what is meant to make the milk taste so delicious, however I though it was really lacking in taste I got a slight hit of vanilla but didn't find it to be tasty, to me it was more like drinking some vanilla essence mixed milk, it certainly wasn't sweet enough could really have done with more sugar, it tasted like glorified milk rather than a milkshake which I was more expecting.

While the texture was nice, creamy and velvety I think Lewis Road Creamery should have produced a Whittakers White Chocolate milk rather than this, especially with having such huge success from the Whittakers Milk Chocolate. Needless to say I didn't even want to finish my small bottle of this milk but for the price I paid I wasn't wanting to waste it either so I ended up using it in a cake, which I also couldn't tell anything amazing from s my cake tasted just as it normally would.

I'll be sticking to chocolate from now, certainly not buying the vanilla again.
