This book reminded me of my daughter. While doing her 'reading homework' she always goes off kilter and starts talking about random things or pointing out her spelling word from weeks ago or telling me a story which has nothing to do with either the book or whatever topic the book is on. Pippa Morgan actually reminded me of my daughter.

Its very light hearted and extremely cute. Her teacher sets the assignment for Valentines Day that you need to discuss three things that you love. Easy ha? Pippa hated Valentines until she found out the reason behind the celebration of this loving day. Then her whole idea about Valentines changes and she sets herself the mission of getting her newly divorced mother to marry her teacher.

I love how innocent children can be and how simple it is to them. The plan be naughty then the teacher will need to speak to her mother and then it will be instant love so they will wed on Valentines Day. Love it.

The writing is very simple, the story is just plan old delightful. Couple of pictures scattered throughout the book which helps add to the drama of young adults lives. There are no chapters persay more like end of a rant before the next one starts up. Its fast paced and very enjoyable. I am sure this time next year my eldest will be reading this alone and loving it.

LOVE this book! Took me straight back to my school days with sleep overs, note passing and plans to annoy our teacher! Relatable, funny and an easy read!

Miss Ten read Pippa Morgan's Diary in record time so that was the first sign the book was also a hit with her too! I can only hope she didn't get any idea's from Pippa and her best friend Catie's plans to sabotage their classroom! The book has short chapters which I prefer for my daughters age and comic styled drawings throughout the book. It is set out as it is titled, like a diary. It has a lot of laughs for both kids and their parents. I found the Pippa Morgan book a lot like the Tom Gates series.

Pippa is a very likeable character, she is caring, loyal, an amazing friend, daughter and student. Miss Eleven would love to read more of the series and is going to check the school library on Monday. I think these books would be perfect for any little girl aged eight and up and would make a great gift! They are readable as a series yet still make sense if you have not read the rest which is another aspect I like!

Big Hit and highly reccommend!
