Having tried the bright green full Kiwifruit flavour, and finding it a little weak for my taste, the colouration of this drink tipped me off that it would also not be a very strong kiwifruit essence.

While that is true, there certainly is flavour; the Goji berry adds a tang to this drink, that was lacking from the full kiwifruit drink. While the original had more sweetness when at room temperature, this product tastes great chilled, and I tend to just chuck a couple of ice cubes in the glass for the best taste.

Even with a full litre of drink, it failed to last, the bottle emptied within half an hour; which left the 12 month shelf-life rather unnecessary. But this was an tasty drink, with the Goji berry being the more prominent flavour, and the kiwifruit providing a base for the drink, without the usual expected acidity. The texture of the drink reminds me more of an emulsion, which would contain both liquid and a fine puree. This had me unconsciously shaking the bottle before each pour, though it isn't exactly necessary.

For me, this is a single-use drink, and will be drunk until it's gone; not something to keep long-term. This product is priced in such a way too that is is competitive with the smaller juices. I hope to see it stocked in the petrol stations and dairies soon.

I first got the chance to taste the range of flavourful drinks in the Nekta range at the 2014 annual Fieldays out at Mystery Creek, and I instantly fell in love! Unlike most other fruit drinks out there, this particular brand was far less acidic, and felt a lot less watery, while still maintaining a smooth, non-pulpy texture. To my surprise, I couldn't detect much of the kiwifruit in the drink, but much like adding salt to chocolate chip cookies, the flavour is subtle, but still has a large affect on the flavour, as the taste of this drink was very much something not to be forgotten.

Of course, with most food products comes the expectation and excitement of experimenting with the product, as I did with these drinks. Using the Goji Berry flavour, I made a delicious cheesecake which my whole family enjoyed, well, apart from my mother, who is unfortunately allergic to kiwifruit, and so could not drink this stuff, nor eat the cheesecake. Despite the fact that this was a 1 litre bottle, I drank most of the bottle pretty fast, as it was far more enjoyable to drink than the store-bought juices, and so I could not resist making the most of this drink while it was still around.

For some reason, it comes as a surprise that this drink has a 12-month shelf-life, when this drink has no preservatives, as far as the label says. The price is wonderful, it means that a wide variety of people can afford this product, including myself, the only thing is, I'm going to have to lower the score for the "Portions" aspect, as this stuff is so addictive that it was hard enough keeping a small quantity of it left. Overall, I see quite a bit of Nekta in my future, as it won't be that long before I try and get my hands on another bottle!

Another fantastic drink from Nekta to go with their other 3 varieties available on the market at the moment. I have been a fan of the plain kiwifruit versions for years now so I was really interested in trying this flavour. I have also heard a lot about Goji berries and how great they are for you but have never tried the actual berries or any other products with their flavour. As a consequence I was a little nervous, not quite knowing what a Goji berry tastes like, however the colour of the drink is great and I was pretty positive it was going to taste yummy. Strange how the look of a product makes you feel that way but it really is true - something else which adds to the great packaging Smile Icon

First taste of this drink once chilled had me thinking yum, I like this, I'll be coming back for more. I have to admit I can't really decide what the Goji berries alone would taste like - but I can taste kiwifruit and I can taste a berry flavour and they are delicious mixed together! Smile Icon My husband enjoyed the taste of this drink too and we both agreed we would happily buy it again. The health benefits of this drink are great and I wouldn't hesitate giving this to my girl (once she's not a baby) if she was ever constipated etc as it will definitely help. I think what really makes this drink is the consistency too - its not too thick but not watery either.

Next I experimented with this juice a little - I made ice blocks, muffins and a smoothie - all with excellent results. With the ice blocks I was really interested to see whether the juice would hold its consistency (which is a nice thickness) or whether it would go watery or separate. I was really pleased when it did neither and stayed exactly like the drink but in frozen form - immediately I knew that I would be making these ice blocks for my baby girl as a treat next summer. I would way rather she had these as an ice block than shop brought ones that are just frozen sugar! Adding the juice to the muffins was also a nice treat, I found this did seem to affect the light and fluffy texture a little in comparison to the golden kiwifruit version - but then it could also have been that I added slightly more/too much of the juice without realising. Lastly the smoothie I made with simply this juice, banana and a spoonful of natural yoghurt was totally amazing. I would buy this drink again just to make the smoothie - it was so yummy and such a healthy treat too.

Overall another great drink and one that our family will be buying again! I love the fact that I can use it for lots of different things and this gives it even more value for money Smile Icon Totally recommend to everyone to try!

I was most curious as to what kiwifruit with goji berry would taste like, so was most keen to review this, and yay! I got some.

I have to say that I rather like the colour of this juice, it really caught my eye. We use small, 200ml cups, for drinking (which incidentally is the amount per serve suggested on the bottle) and so it was easy to see how many servings this would do going by that suggested amount. I gave some to the kids and a glass each for my husband and I. This drink is a little on the sweet side for what I was expecting, which isn't a really bad thing as it means I only stick to the 200mls and am not reaching for a second glass right away. To me the kiwifruit plays second fiddle here, as more of a compliment to the goji berry.

I made some coconut ice as a treat and decided to try and add a bit of this drink to the mixture instead of vanilla essence, as I wasn't bothering with splitting it into two colours I just added it to the whole batch and it gave it a nice yellowish tinge and a subtle kiwifruit and goji berry taste to the sweets, which had my kids loving it even more.

Not 100% sure that I would buy it again, but the number of servings is great.

I love the Nekta kiwifruit juice but had never tried the kiwifruit and goji berry one so when it came up for review what a perfect time to try it.

I know from experience with the other kiwifruit juices that they are best served ice cold and I was so keen to try it that the bottle went straight into the freezer to chill. Once it was nicely chilled I poured myself a glass. Like with the other kiwifruit juices it had a odd texture but it's nothing you can't deal with. I found the taste a little odd and it reminded me more of a mixed berry drink rather than a kiwifruit drink. In saying that though it wasn't terrible and while it wouldn't be my first choice of drinks I would have it again.

The next day I was feeling creative and wanted to try the juice out in different ways as I have with just the plain kiwifruit in the past. First creation was Kiwifruit, goji berry and chocolate chip cookies. I simply whipped together my normal chocolate chip cookie mixture replacing the milk with the kiwifruit and goji berry drink instead. The results were yummy cookies with just a hint of kiwifruit and goji berry.

As I was making apple crumble for dessert I decided I would make a kiwifruit and goji berry syrup to go over the top of it. I put a couple of cups of drink in a pan added just a little sugar, brought it all to the boil and then left it to simmer down into a thick syrup. This worked really well and reducing it really brought out the kiwifruit flavour. When added to the top of my apple crumble it was perfect!

While I wasn't too fussed on this as a drink on it's own I would buy it again just for baking as it worked so well in both dishes.

My mother in law is always talking about Goji Berrys and how beneficial they are. She buys Goji products monthly and is always telling me we should as well. I was wrapped when I saw that this product was going to be up for review so I could finally see what these little berries taste like.

My girls currently are unwell with the flu. When I received my box of goodies they both asked for some, reading the back said to give a good shake and best chilled, because I didn't have the 'chilled' luxury I gave both a small drink and told them this will make you both feel better. They both eagerly took a sip and my eldest turned and said 'I still feel sick, it doesn't work'. But she loved it and drank the rest, where as my baby hated it and said that 'I don't love this' and refused to have any more which my eldest quickly drank up. I poured myself some and had a sip and thought it tasted like a lite orange juice.

I put the rest of the bottle in the fridge and went on with my day and returned for a drink and it was not that nice. Definitely not the sort of drink to be lying around for the day. Best to be taken straight away. We left the drink in the fridge for 24 hours and had today after lunch. Giving a really good shake before pouring some in to the glasses, my daughter once again loved it and said it was colder today then yesterday. I was a little concerned but still had a drink and kinda reminds me of orange juice that has separated. Its a peculiar taste, it looks like carrot juice, smells like orange and mango juice but doesn't really taste complete its like the two flavours are separate but yet trying to be like one.

For the price I think I would buy if only on special and my daughter would probably be the only one to drink it. I am not really a huge fan. I love the fact it has no preservatives and its healthy and has lots of vitamins, but the taste is not quite right for me.
