Dinosaurs in the Supermarket product reviews

There's a T.Rex gobbling sausages! Stegosaurus spilling beans! Apatosaurs chucking frozen peas are filling the aisles with greens...

A rip-roaring story about a boy whose trip to the supermarket is FAR from boring.

Children's illustrated, colour, soft cover picture book.

I was lucky enough to be given a copy of this book recently and my 5 year old loves it! It's a rhyming book, so super fun to read and the story is pretty cute. Basically there are dinosaurs in the supermarket which no grown ups can see... but of course those of us reading the story can spot them. Even after reading the book a couple of times, I was still spotting new dinosaurs hiding among the pages.

Then at the end the dinosaurs all jump out at the adults and say "boo"... a chance to give any engrossed child a bit of a fun fright!

Although the dinosaurs are drawn in cartoon form, they resemble actual dinosaurs - great for those children who know and love their dinosaurs! And for us parents who are a bit less clueless, they have a handy pronunciation/reference guide at the beginning of the book...

This book would suit children from fairly young, right up and past 5 years old. Like I say, my 5 year old (girl) loved it. And as an adult, I can't resist a good rhyming book - I've read this one a few times now, and it's not grating on any nerves yet!

This book has a fantastic glossy cover which immediately captivated Miss Two. She loves this book and we enjoy trying to find all the dinosaurs when they are hidden in the supermarket.

The first two pages have lovely illustrations of all the cheeky dinosaur characters in the book and the phonetic spelling of their correct names so finally I feel able to pronounce some difficult dinosaur names. Brilliant and very good thinking by the author.

The story is rhyming so good for keeping the littilies attention as is the hunting for dinosaurs. Miss Four and Miss Six are a bit old for this book but Miss Two has wanted it every night for two weeks now so I think it is winner for her age group. It is definitely a very silly little story but then this is what keeps youngsters interested and the illustrations really will keep you entertained for ages. All the dinosaurs are very cheeky and there are lots of smiling faces in this book so nothing even remotely scary, which makes it perfect for a bedtime read.

I would definitely recommend this for the ages two- four years especially if your littilie likes dinosaurs.

This is a fantastic story which my son absolutely loved and even I had to have a chuckle as I was reading it. I love books like these that show imagination I can picture children going to the supermarket and trying to see if they can find any dinosaurs making mess in the supermarket.

It was a great rhyming story where the young boy saw dinosaurs in the supermarket making a big mess, and the adults didnt believe him, he organised for the dinosaurs to clean up the mess and the adults all thought it was him until the dinosaurs all jumped out and said boo!

The one thing that got me when I was reading this was the dinosaurs names some of which I wasn't really sure how to pronounce but could sort of sound it out so I think this is a great book for parents to read aloud to children but could be quite difficult for young children to say the dinosaur names themselves.

The illustrations are great I love the cartoon style dinosaurs which are bright and how the illustrations cleverly show the dinosaurs hidden behind different things in the supermarket. I would definetly recommend this to mother of little boys who like dinosaurs
