Keith Jarrett is an enigma amongst men. A man of unparalleled virtuosity in both the classical genre and the jazz genre, perhaps it is the latter for which he is better known.

The music is auditory fireworks expressed on the piano. The instrument in made to come alive and sing under Jarrett's mastery, and it is for that reason, Jarrett is as well-known as he is, though perhaps his music and performance skills should make him better known to a wider audience.

He is known both as a composer and as a pianist, and possibly known for his rather eccentric behaviour at some recitals. Jarrett play effortlessly and flawlessly thoughout this recital, and there is little extraneous noise (coughing - for which Jarrett has been known to hand out cough sweets at performances), which often bugs live recordings.

This is a joy to watch, a pleasure to listen to, and listen I did, as ecstatic waves of voluminous music wash over me holding me transfixed by the man who is legend in his field.

This DVD is worthy of a place in the collection of anyone who appreciates Jazz, Classical music or someone who appreciates a virtuoso at work.
