Hot Pursuit product reviews

Acadamy Award winner Reese Witherspoon is Officer Cooper, an uptight and by-the-book cop trying to protect a federal witness Daniella Riva (Sofia Vergara) the vivacious and outgoing widow of a drug boss.

As the two polar opposites race through Texas they find themselves pursued by everyone from crooked cops to murderous gunmen. But their greatest obsticle to making it out alive may be themselves in this high action, high-hilarity road-trip comedy.

I was pleasantly surprised at how many laugh out loud scenes there are in this rather predictable movie. You do not need to be a rocket scientist to guess what is going to happen or who the bad guys are but it is still a really enjoyable movie as you go on this wild ride.

I think Reese Witherspoon is an amazing actress and she shows how versitile she really is. She plays the role so well and although a tad annoying at how pedantic she really is, she miraculously still manages to pull it off. The scene when she had 'white powder' on her face had me spit my drink out in laughter when she was proving that she could jump, it was just so silly but extremely funny or the bus chase was hilarious especially when Reese and Sofia were trying to figure out how to sit down. Actually there were quite a few really funny scenes. Usually Sofias voice grates me but in this it worked. It was also refreshing to know so many people do not understand her all the time.

Lots of wise cracks about how small Reese really is and how attractive Sofia is and don't get me started with the newscasts estimations over their height and age. Another highlight is during the credits a gag reel pops up and its kinda reassuring to know how many mistakes professionals can make, it made me feel so much better about myself.

I think this is the sort of movie that everyone can enjoy. It is silly and lighthearted and purely made to make everyone feel good. It has laughter, sexual appeal (especially when the two of them start to make out - so much so a man shoots his finger off,) car chases, well pretty much everything you want in a movie. Its not a thinking movie by any which means but covers all the barriers nicely. Oh and then there is the bonus of her suitcase if you like shoes you do not want to miss it. Its definitely worth a watch.
