Spirit Animals #7:The Evertree product reviews

Everything comes to a head in this seventh book in the New York Times bestselling series. The world of Erdas will be changed forever.

Conor, Abeke, Meilin, and Rollan were once ordinary kids. Then they discovered that they had spirit animals-wise and powerful partners who granted them with amazing gifts . . . and a legendary responsibility.

Together, the team has journeyed across Erdas, racing to stop a merciless foe. They have laughed and fought together. They've won challenges and lost friends. Some have even lost themselves.

Now that journey is about to end. They must reach a place forgotten by time and face off against an ancient enemy breaking free from his prison. They have just one chance to stop him . . . or the whole world will shatter.

When I first started reading this series I wasn't sure it was going to be something I would enjoy normally fantasy is something that is not up my alley. However it only took the first book to get me hooked and wanting more and despite the changing of authors from book to book they have all kept me captivated in this series and wanting to follow the series through to conclusion. The last few books have all been building up to something spectacular and this final book is it.

I am somewhat saddened that the series has come to a conclusion but I got my happy ending in the story and will feel content that Erdas can now begin to rebuild and restore some peace. So much has changed in the space of this series so many lives lost and such devastation to the land of Erdas so there was a lot to cram into the final book to bring it all to an end. I felt this book was realy fast paced so I had to read it really quickly to finish it off as there was just no good time to put the book down.

In this final installment a lot is at stake the children need to get their hands on the final talisman, the conquerors have already got their hands on enough of the talismans so in this quest the children must make certain the conquerors do not get to Tellun the elk before them. Kovo the ape is a huge threat breaking from his prison and causing utter devastation with his actions. So much action and huge battles ensue to keep you on the edge of your seat while reading.

This series and this final book restored my faith that if something is well written it can draw you in even if it is not something you would normally read. The combined authors in this series did a great job of creating this series and keeping the story alive through all 8 of the books. Definitely a series I would recommend to others.

So at last, this series which took me a bit by surprise at the beginning has finally come to an end. "Spirit Animals" has been quite a fun series for me to read, and I'm a bit sad to see it go. The previous few books have set up a rather intriguing plot to pick up from, and it was a great experience finding out how it resolved. I think the story has evolved significantly since it started, and with every book came the death of more characters, and therefore the series has become progressively more emotional, and true to this pattern, this book was easily able to captivate me on an emotional level.

I think that the story was well put together, it takes advantage of all the known facts and figures that have accumulated over the course of the series, including the "Tales of the Great Beasts" book that came out before this one, just in time, might I add, to inform the reader on the history of the Four Fallen and the last great war. Along the way, I was saddened as many of the things that I have grown attached to along the course of the series have been destroyed, and towards the end of the book, the situation looked quite dire, but I was relieved at the end when the well sought-after "Happy ending" came to be.

The price is quite reasonable, I think it fits the value of the book to an adequate level, and it doesn't feel as if it is a rip-off. I think this is a great book to go back and read some other time, plus reading all the books in order will solidify my understanding of the overall storyline. The characters in this book were cool, the author has managed to give each character his or her own unique personality, which has allowed for the book to feel more realistic and thus allow me to further immerse myself in the story. This immersion really did make all the difference, and I found reading the book to be quite an enjoyable experience, and one that I would love to repeat sometime!
