A few years ago raboplus had a promotion if you opened an account with them you got a $50 deposit as a thank you so thought it would be great as it is online only so no ATM cards and only way to get the money out is to transfer to another bank account in your name.

The site is easy to navigate and log in is secured by a digipass (The Digipass is a small hand-held device, much smaller and thinner than your mobile phone. It randomly generates an access code, which you use it to access your RaboDirect account(s) and validate your transactions) which makes your banking session secure. If you have to do a transfer out then you have to use the digipass which is easy to use as the instructions are very clear. Almost every single transaction needs this digipass so it is a lot harder for a random stranger to access your accounts.

I know that every so often they have promotions but have found out that if you already have an account with them then you don't qualify for the promotion.

I really like that you can't access your money easily so you have to be sure that you want the money, it is overnight if the request is received before 9pm or the next business day if the request is received after 9pm or weekends so if you do the cash out request on a Friday it will be Tuesday before you get the money.

There are various options available and it is great that the main business is savings and investments so they don't even offer loans.

Highly recommended to help you save and build up some savings for a rainy day.
