I thought that this would be a handy thing to have, my youngest has hospital and specialist appointments and sometimes this means dragging my older two along with us, so something small in the bag, that provides lots of fun is a must.

My first impression was how lovely and compact this is, in one small box (a little bit bigger than a notebook) there are 80 pictures to colour in and six felt tip pens. The felt pens are all washable markers which comes in handy, especially when one of my children likes to draw way, way out of the lines, talking draws all over her legs, arms and tummy. The washable markers are indeed washable I am happy to say, no stains on clothes or little bodies left after a good wash.

The pictures are a a nice small size, there are a few copies of each picture which means that if you have a couple of kids wanting to colour in the same picture, there's not going to be any fight. There's on;y two problems that I had with it, my kids found some of the colouring pages just a bit too hard as some bits were a little too small, and my only recommendation would be to make it out of plastic, not cardboard, then the pack would last longer, as it had ripped by the 2nd day.

A fun little set for the bag, perfect for out and about.

I was lucky enough to win some of these for my 5 year old and as soon as she opened the packet, she sat down to colour.

My girl loves felt pens - they are definitely her choice of instrument for drawing and colouring and this pack comes with a nice little set of them in a well thought-out range of colours (the pink appealed to her, but there's also brown for some realistic treasure-chest colouring). They are easy to use including being able to push the lids back on properly and they fit nicely inside the pack. I am pleased to see they are washable (although I haven't tested that yet!), and they seem to be of good quality - nothing worse than cheap felt pens which barely have a point on them and run out after 2 uses. We've had these about a month now and they seem to be going strong.

This little pack would be ideal to keep in a handbag, car glove box, or hidden away at nana's house for those times when you need to whip out an activity in a hurry. There are a heap of colouring pages which are all loose-leaf so you can distribute them around more than one child and if anyone scribbles on them then they haven't spoiled a whole book.

Because the pictures are reasonably small (think postcard size), they are easy to finish and the child doesn't feel like giving up and scribbling and making a mess because the project is too huge. This is definitely a huge plus for me.

This is not something I would have thought to buy for my daughter myself as she normally prefers to draw her own pictures rather than colour pictures, but she is enjoying it. I'd certainly consider it as a reasonably priced, quality present for another child. I believe they may come in other themes also - depending on what interest your child has, so a great little investment for a child/children who love to colour.

When I was given the Crayola Jake and the Neverland Pirates Mini Colouring Pages I popped it straight into my handbag knowing that as a Mum of young children there would be a need for something for the kids to do sometime soon. It comes shrink wrapped which was very easy to open without the need for scissors, keys or teeth. A big plus for a travel kit. It opens like a book with 6 mini markers on one side and the colouring pages on the other side. The pages are loose rather than bound together and they are held in place by the corners of the book. This was very handy as I could give the children a page each to colour when I had more than one child with me.

This is a handy little kit to have for those times you visit someone that doesn't have anything for the kids to do. It made the time in the waiting much less stressful for everyone there. It is so small and compact that you forget you have it in your Mummy bag until you start worrying about how you are going to hope with a couple of hours wait at the after hours doctor. The fact that it had both the markers and the colouring pages meant I didn't have to take anything else. The colouring pages are only on one side so if your child wants to do some drawing or writing they can simply turn the page over.

This kit appealed to Miss 4 who hadn't shown any interest in the other two Crayola colouring kits I had been given. Since it had 80 pages her big sister didn't notice that she had scribbled over several pages. I was able to simply throw these out rather than the tantrum which would have occurred if she had seen it in her colouring in books.

I think it is a bargain price considering it includes both colouring pages and markers and is a licensed character. I have seen these in several different characters and bought them as Christmas or birthday gifts for children that are keen to those characters. In most cases it worked out much cheaper than buying a separate book and markers.

I have two daughters who are really into doing art projects. They also really enjoy the TV show Jake & The Neverland Pirates. So when I got selected to review this pack, I was really excited. This particular pack is really cool. It has so many pluses!

So the first thing is the size of the pack. This is really mini, not quite pocket size, but definitely a good size for a handbag or a travel kit. The packet was cello-wrapped, but was easy enough to get into. Once in, it has a cardboard clip that was easy to use and easy to close as well. This is important for kids who don't always have the fine motor skills to do things themselves.

Inside the kit, there are 80 pictures that are pocket sized. The paper quality is pretty good. Much like the sort of paper weight you would get in a standard colouring book. The markers are small and have their own home inside the pack. What I really liked with these was the colour choices. It's like they really thought about the kid who wants to colour Jake and his friends "properly". So there is pink for Izzy, and there is blue and red for Jake and Chubby. A nice vibrant green for their parrot friend.

Best of all they have included brown! Their swords are wooden, the chests are usually brown - I was really pleased that they included a brown and didn't leave kids to yellow wood. Of course, kids will be kids and they will engage their imaginations as well, but that's fine too. There are no rules in art.

I could see this pack being fantastic on a road trip. It would be a great little activity for those school holidays away from home, where there is no TV but plenty of free time. I would also consider this pack for any Jake fan. What a great birthday present or a good Easter alternative if you are avoiding chocolate overload. Best of all, less than $13 for a few hours of fun is great value.
