We love Ripleys Believe it or Not books and this one is brilliant. The cover is one of those holographic type covers with a guy with snakes going up his nose and out his mouth **eeekk* not for the faint hearted or weak stomached but so very fun to play with. Just move the book around a bit at marvel at the cover. Once you get past the excitement and fun of that, dive deep into the pages and see whats in there. Theres so much to learn.

A wealth of knowledge to be found, a lot of which you will find yourself say 'I don't believe that' but yet there it is!. I don't want to give anything away, but can promise you, you wont be dissapointed in the content of this book. Theres so much brilliant stuff to read and learn over a range if different things. And its not a small book either, A4 in size, and loads of wonderful pages You really are getting your moneys worth and then some.

In fact I was presently surprised by the RRP on this one. It is a hard cover for one, and a fun to play with cover too lol, but usually hard-covered books cost a lot more. Its nicely put together and set out. Easy to follow and read and theres so so much between the covers, oh and its not boring. $21 just doesnt seem enough for it.

Its a brilliant collection of interesting stuff that would intrique and delight many. Further more it would make a brilliant gift. My sons love it...one loves the content more while the other loves the cover haha This is ons that gets two thumbs up and will not dissapoint.

I've heard about "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" several times, but I've never actually read about any of the books before. While reading this book, I realized that it was a lot like the "Guinness World Records" books, only this book talked about things that were totally weird and wonderful, instead of talking about the blokes who've done something better than others.

The cover was awesome, it was weird looking at a man with snakes going up his nostrils and coming out his mouth, it looked weird enough to make me curious as to just what kind of interesting things this book contained. The book was definitely interesting, just a few of the things mentioned were a car that can interface with a smartphone, a keyboard built into a pair of jeans, and a woman who appeared to age 50 years in a matter of days!

I loved the kinds of things this book mentioned, particularly the technological areas. This book is a good representation of the amazing things that mother nature and advances in modern tech can do, and while the book is just a loosely organized jumble of facts, it's a wake-up call as to what's out there in the world. I think the hardest thing to believe about this book is the fact that everything in here is true!

The book is at a good price, it has a good value, and therefore it is neither a rip-off nor an overpriced pile of paper. The book was interesting enough to make me have thoughts about reading it again. To sum up my overall opinion on this book, I think that it is good for people who think they've seen it all.

I recently received this book to review. The first thing you notice about the book, is the cover. I mean, you really can't move past it until you have had a play. The front image has that train wreck magnetism to it. That snake coiling through the man's nose, and mouth. How can he do that? There is a holo-movement coating to the top too, so you can play with the image a bit for extra interest.

Inside, the book is set out in sections filled with amazing facts and feats. There are so many stories, and people and animals from around the world. My daughter took to this book immediately. She flicked through each page, pouring over the pictures. She then asked me to read out the sections she was most interested in.

She gravitated to the animal stories in particular. Her favourite was the two-faced cat. She loved that one so much that she kept going back to it. In fact this book was so well liked, that every morning for that week as she was having breakfast she asked me to read a few pages to her. She usually doesn't want a book in the morning, but this book was just that engaging for her.

Some of the stories may be a little graphic for small children. She is 6, but very matter-of-fact and was happy with the details in each story. I was pleased to see that it's mostly happy endings for the animals involved in accidents or brave feats. Still, the book may best suit an older child. I can imagine this being a great family gift, where everyone would get something out of it. Even daddy read this one here.
