I was lucky enough to be given one of these amazing sleep sacks at my baby shower. To start with I thought why on earth did I want one of these, I have blankets to keep my baby warm.. Fast forward 16 months to a toddler that kicks off her blankets at any chance she gets and wakes up freezing.

I got sick of night time wakings after little miss had wiggled out of her blankets and would wake up cold. So thought I would give the sleep sack a try. I wasn't expecting miracles, in fact I thought I would end up with a frustrated and trapped toddler who couldn't escape out of the sleep sack but I was wrong! I woke in the morning realised she hadn't woken once! She was still inside her sleep sack toasty warm and on top of her blankets.

The merino go go bags are super expensive and in all honesty I would never have brought myself one before BUT after using this one, feeling how snuggly they are and how great quality they are I would not hesitate to use them or buy another one. The only thing I don't like is the snaps on the shoulder. I would say it won't be long before my toddler gets a bit clued up and works out how to get them undone.

I was lucky enough to borrow a Merino Kids Go Go Bag with my last daughter right over her second winter. There are so many things to like about the Go Go Bag. Firstly, although the price seems incredibly dear you have to factor in the length of time you can use it for. Unlike the cheaper bags or sleep suits you can get, which will usually only last you 3 months at a time for a little one - you get a full two years use out of the Go Go Bag.

Secondly you are paying for quality. These things just seem to go and go and go! So you can buy one or two and when you are done with them they are totally re-sellable. Or you can pass on to friends or family too. The fabric is merino, and over winter you really need that merino layering to keep baby warm but also to help them regulate their temperatures. The Go Go Bag can even be used in summer with nothing under them but a nappy.

The colour options are so cute. We had a red stripey looking one and I thought it was really cool. It was cute for a girl, but easily could have been for a boy. If I had bought one myself I would have gone with a blue or the taupe kinda look, because I find they are more versatile, especially with passing on afterwards. Overall a great product and one I would recommend to people.

I have just bought another one of these in the bigger size having used the smaller sized one for my son last winter and absolutely loved it. We started using the smaller sized one when Cai got Bronchiolitis when he was 3 months and no longer wanted to be swaddled. The problem was he kicked the blankets off all the time as he was a big wriggler and would then wake up cold.

A friend of mine recommended using one of these to keep him warm at night and it was the best move I made. Once he was using this he no longer woke up in the night cold and I felt relaxed knowing he was wrapped up warm as he couldn't kick it off.

It is so easy to use too it has a zip and an opening on the shoulder so you can easily put them in and out and the zip at the bottom makes it easy to check nappies without getting them completely out of the sleeping bag. The other great thing is they have an opening for putting the car seat straps through so you can put them in it when going out in the car to keep them warm too.

They wash and wear really well, our first one has stayed in excellent condition and lasted him a long time he still fits in it now at 15 months but we have bought the larger size to make sure it lasts him through the winter. It is actually good having two for the time being as it makes it easier to rotate when one needs to be washed as with all the rain we have had of late washing has become a struggle.
