Not Suitable for Children product reviews

Jonah is a professional party boy. With his mates, Gus and Stevie, they maintain a steady flow of cash, booze and beats; hosting weekly parties at their inner city share house.

Jonah's carefree lifestyle is turned upside-down when a cancer scare has him re-evaluating his priorities. Faced with only a month of fertility left, Jonah now wants to be a dad. Although time is short and his track record patchy, Jonah embarks on a quest to find someone, anyone, willing to have a baby with him.

With a killer soundtrack featuring original music by The Black Keys, Mammal, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears and Offcutts, a fantastic cast with a breakthrough performance from Sarah Snook and a touching and hilarious screenplay from Michael Lucas (TV?s Offspring), Not Suitable for Children is a sexy romantic comedy with an edge, showing that to become a dad, it takes a pair.

I was really looking forward to reviewing this comedy, it looks great - but i was worried it would be a bit cliche and would use all the typical comedy features that have been done time and time again. Boy how wrong i was!

Jonah, who is played by the lovely looking Ryan Kwanten, is a young carefree party boy who finds out he has cancer and tries to find someone to have a baby within a matter of weeks. The acting is superb, you really feel like you're on this journey with him. I enjoyed watching the character of Stevie (Sarah Snook) develop and her friendship with Jonah grow as his journey became more desperate.

What really amazed me was while watching the party scenes at the house, none of it seemed forced or acted, it really felt like you were observing a real life party. The movie has a really genuine quality that gives the film real credit.

Its the type of heartfelt movie and has lots of "laugh out loud" moments that i would be more than happy to re-watch again. Although the storyline isn't 100% believable about the way he goes about finding someone to have a baby with, the undercurrents of the film are very believable and with cancer being such a major part of society it was lovely to see a movie about it with some decent laughs.

On top of all that, the soundtrack is amazing! Loved hearing The Black Keys in there with some other top quality music. If you're after a great film with some laughs that lighten up a serious topic, this movie is definitely one to pop on your list! Can't wait to see more from Sarah Snook, it was an outstanding performance!

When a criminal plot is in place to take down the entire computer and technological structure that supports the economy of the United States (and the world), it's up to a decidedly "old school" hero, police detective John McClane to take down the conspiracy, aided by a young hacker.
