My son was lucky enough to receive the Star Wars folded flyers book in a competition from KIWIreviews. My children are always trying to make paper planes, sometimes with success and sometimes with little success :) so we were over the moon to receive this book.

The folded flyers book comes jam packed with ships to make, easy to follow instructions to make sure you get your planes right every time. And they actually fly too, which brought great delight to my children, and to me as i have never been any good at making paper planes.

The other great thing about this book is, if you do not want to remove the pages you can photo copy them and still follow the directions to make that great fleet of ships over and over again. Even miss 5 was successful in making a flyer, much to her delight.

For some the $25.00 price tag may seem a bit much, but along with directions for making the ships, the also book contains details and information on all 30 ships which is absolutely brilliant,

It is bright, colourful, easy to read and with good quality paper for the ships too. Definitely worth every cent and a fantastic gift for any star wars or paper plan fan :) two thumbs up from me and my children.

I have seen my share of fold your own paper planes in my time, some have been good, some have been bad, and some have been outstanding. Well this one falls into the outstanding category. As well as the obligatory paper models you also get some info on each of the ships that you are making.

I was a bit apprehensive at first as many of the paper plane books that I have seen have had great looking planes, but when it came to instructions well that was a different matter, but there was no such worry in this book. The instructions are very clear and well documented and make it very easy for kids of the recommended 8 years or older to punch them out and put them together.

Also the sheer number of flyers that could be made were also very impressive, 30 flyers all up, it makes for a very fun air battle of rebels against the empire I can tell you.... Smile Icon And the fact that there are 5 copies of each of the 8 designs means that even if a small mistake is made on one of the flyers then you haven't gone and wasted the design, unlike some others that I have seen.

As a rainy day activity this is a great thing and is a great way for both the older Star Wars generation and the new younger Star Wars generation to spend some quality time together making some awesome paper planes, that fly just as well as they look.

Okay, laugh if you want to, but I have to say that "the force was strong with this one" LOL Icon, this has got to be one of the coolest klutz books ever! The cover design was cool, it really made the planes look like they were really in battle, which was enough to make me immediately want to take this book for review. The briefing on the key features of the starfighters, the key for the symbols on the tear-out-and-fold paper sheets at the back that are what will become the planes, and so on, was very descriptive and had enough detail to allow me to use this book correctly.

The instructions were crystal clear, I could make a total of four planes without a single mistake, so I think that is will be really easy for people even younger than me. also, the diagrams showed everything perfectly, they had just enough detail on the images for me to be able to know where I was to make the folds/cuts and put the tape, so in the end I got 4 perfect, well-flying planes! The difficulty level of the usage of this product was "easy", I found even the hard planes, the x-wing and the TIE advanced x1, were very easy, and were quit frankly the coolest-looking ones.

I was glad that there were about 5 copies for each page needed for the planes, because it means that A. I can make more than one of each plane and either keep them or give them to my friends, and B. I have spare copies to use if I accidentally damage/lose one, which came in handy when I was trying to take off the page for making the Naboo Starfighter, as while I was trying to take it off it got ripped. The price is great, I admit that this is quite a big book, and klutz stuff is usually rather pricey, just because of the high value of the contents.

The completed planes looked great and flew well. Also the layers of paper after folding made the planes nice and stable, not just an unstable and floppy shape that keeps wanting to unfold or buckled as soon as it hits a wall. Overall, this will be a great book, perfect for Xmas/birthday presents for kids and something fun for them do to after school or on the weekends. Enjoy!
