The quality is very good with colour, very vibrant, though not quite so good when it comes to blacks. It does seem to print blacks with a hint of colour though so is not so good for full black and white prints.

The consumables are a bit pricey, from what I've seen, HP consumables are cheaper.

You can buy Epson photo paper in rolls of 10m for doing panorama / banner prints. This is very handy. Though be aware that it will only do up to about 1.2m in length so you have to cut the paper beforehand, and it is tricky to feed in since it doesn't have a roll holder.

I have heard that if left inactive for roughly a month or more this printer can clog itself and become irreparable, so if you're going to only print every few months go with something else.

This, as with many other Epson printers, comes with a cd printing tray, which can come in very handy.

In summary this printer is good if you want to do occasional prints. If you are doing heavy loads of printing I would go with maybe an HP printer as it would probably be cheaper to run. The quality is good and it is easy to use so it is a good but not superb printer overall.
