Any Given Thursday product reviews

Fans of rising younf singer/songwriter John Mayer are in for a special treat when they experience "Any Given Thursday".

Recorded live at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Birmingham, Alabama, on September 12th, 2002. "Any Given Thursday" captures all the magic, wit and warmth of John Mayer in concert.

Featuring live versions of songs from John's albums - the RIAA multi-platinum selling breakthrough album, Room for Squares, and his recently re-released independant debut Inside Wants Out - as well as previously unreleased new material, "Any Given Thursday" showcases all of John's talents: his passionate singing, his lyical guitar-work, his off-the-wall humour.

As an added bonus, you'll see what makes John tick in three exclusive features. You'll join him backstage before the show for "Any Given Soundcheck", experience the refreshing candor of his reflections in "The Next Morning" interview, and stroll through a fascinating "Photo Gallery".

This would have to be one of the most awesome musical finds I have made, and at an awesome price!

Having always been more of a 'visual' person, I have always preferred to watch-&-listen over just-listen, when it comes to music... I enjoy the antics of the artists as much as their music. However, since this is the only DVD I have seen of John Mayer's, I will just have to go out and buy all his albums on CD and groove to the tunes alone.

I would have given this a Perfect 10, but the bonus extras were a little TOO much actually. They should have used some of the sapce to fit more music videos, IMHO. :)

If you have never heard or seem John Mayers, you are missing out! This guy is the new John Lennon of the modern age. With a style that ranges from groovy dance beats to lyical romance songs, he has to speak to you in at least one song, making his albums a must buy for anyone who like music with texture, feeling and substance.

This DVD is 135 minutes of bliss. Why are you still reading? Go buy it!
