It is really cool and lots of fun. I like it a lot.

The stories are really interesting and fun. There are lots of stories to read. The stories are quite short and quick to read. I would like to take this book to school to share with the other children in my class. I think my teacher would like to read it to us.

Coats has succeeded in opening the world of Greek mythology to the younger reader. 50 of the most memorable stories have been broken down into the simple, short chapters of one to two pages.

It is simple to read half a dozen stories in a sitting for the child, the child will certainly not get bored, and I can guarentee that the adult reader will not be bored by having to read the stories to a demanding child. In fact, I am enjoying the stories so much that I seem to be reading the stories aloud long after my daughter has gone to sleep. Each story is accompanied by simple line drawings to illustrate each story.

To say this is a kids' book is to underestimate the value of this book, it can equally be read by adults who wish to improve their knowledge of the Greek classics. You never know when you are going to be surrounded by professors of Greek mythology...and one never wishes to appear stupid by asking questions like, "Who is Zeus?" or "Who is Hera" and so on. I remember the stories told to me as a youngster by my grandmother so these stories are very much a refresher for me.

This book should be bought by every parent and grandparent to read to their charges, it will give hours of fun and entertainment, and most importantly - EDUCATION. Valuable material indeed.
