Review #18455 - Dated: 18th of August, 2017 Author: tessak |
Griffins stripes biscuits are one of my favourite biscuits. I am not sure why, as they are not really anything unbelievable or amazing lol but I love them. One of those biscuits that were awesome as a kid, and still awesome now lol. And yes just like when I was a kid, I still try to wear them as a ring hahaha So Griffins turned those fun biscuits into a muesli bar.
The biscuit is good, the muesli bar is ok. I am not a huge fan of any of the recreated biscuit muesli bar mixes to be honest. The bars obviously attempt to taste like the biscuit, but alas they do not. And they are just to sweet for me :-) it is as though they had to up the sugar content, in an attempt to hide the muesli bar side of it :-( which is a real shame because I really like muesli bars. They are a really good snack treat to have on hand, especially when in a rush.
My kids, again not huge fans. So we do not really buy them unless they are on special quite cheaply which is rare. The price varies store to store, but generally they are in the $4-$5 price range here in Invercargill. Unsure if that is the recommended rrp or not. The box is easy to open, perforated strip across the top. Even kids can open it without any trouble.
Probably the best thing about these is that the packaging is bright and eye catching lol a muesli bar with choc coated bottom and chocolate stripes on top but sadly not a product for us, just one we are happy to leave sitting on the supermarket shelf.
