Review #14146 - Dated: 6th of June, 2015 Author: tessak |
Recently, I was given one of each of the new Whittakers artisan collection chocolates. 6 super intriguing flavours that really get the mouth watering and the brain ticking over about these interesting new flavour combinations. My biggest piece of advice, do not judge the taste of the chocolate by flavour combos only. Flavours I was certain I would not like, I did, and vice versa.
So, Whittakers braeburn apple and vanilla, was the favourite for me and my son. This was super yummy. The perfect blend of white vanilla flavoured chocolate with a splash of perfectly blended braeburn apples. Not to strong. Just right. So good.
The biggest problem I had was the size of the bars. Tiny thin blocks of chocolates. It was actually really disappointing to see the thin small pieces of chocolate. Its just not enough. You're left feeling disappointed and wanting more. The cardboard packets the chocolate comes in are really appealing and rather classy looking. It is easy to open and the chocolate block slides out easily enough.
Opening the chocolate you see a block glistening in all its white glory, the slightly darker spots in the chocolate evidence of the braeburn apples mixed within. The smell is more vanilla sweet than anything. Such a delicious and tasty combo, that left me bitterly disappointed after sharing a piece with the 4 other members of the family.
The size of these blocks are not really sized for sharing with others. But the taste of this one, worth every cent!!
