This is truly one of the best security cameras that I have seen for the price that it is selling at. The designers at Swann has done their homework and it has everything that you could want in a basic security camera. I am currently working for a service station and the cameras that we have is twice the price and we are getting the same resolution and better night operation from this camera than any other camera that we have in operation at the moment. The camera comes with a 15m cord and a twelve volt power supply. Make sure that you measure the distance that you have to travel with the cord carefully. Should you have a doubt the distance it is a good idea to get the extension cable that is sold separately. The first impression of the product was very good it has an excellent external casing that is weather proof the front of the unit can also remove for cleaning purposes. I would not recommend putting the camera in a totally exposed area I would put it in a somewhat protected area but I have to say that rain does not bother this camera at all it has been trough some of the roughest weather that New Zealand has seen in a long time. The best thing about the camera is that it is rearward compatible with older systems and it can be easily adapted to be plugged into just about any recording device that you can get or hands on form computers, dvd recorders to vcr’s. The unit is mounted on an adjustable arm so you can turn the camera in any way that you can possibly think of.

The unit is so easy to use it is truly plug and play with no drivers required if you are going to add it to you current computer surveillance system.

Another thing that impressed me is the ability of the camera to operate in complete darkness it truly turns night into day however the range is limited so make sure that you have the correct area covered.

This product is just great a must have in any home.

this is the best camera i have found for my money. it does exactly what is is advertized to do. very simple install, pure plug and play.

i just installed a complete swann system for our home and it is great, compact, complete, and, most of all effective in covering the property. priced ok, and i used my daughter's old tv! got her a new one with dvd etc. etc. etc.

i miss nz. spent only 5 weeks there. many fewer problems there than here.

I saw these cameras on TV recently, on the Australian Fixitup show 'Room for Improvement', and these looked like just what I needed for my house. So I went to Dick Smith's this morning and bought the whole kit at a very reasonable price. After 2 hours installing it all, it has proved itself to be exactly the setup I needed. Thanks Aussy TV, and thanks Swann.
