I really enjoy a good cinnamon dish and so was very keen on giving this a good try.

The packaging is nice and really suits the product in a lovely way. This packet is only 90 grams total in weight and is gluten free. I love that it is made in New Zealand, I had a little chuckle though, at the warning which says "may contain traces of peanuts", but that is a generic warning. The nutritional information I did find a bit confusing so perhaps it is worth making it 100 grams per packet to round it out?

Now, the taste! Opening this up I could smell the cinnamon right away and I was ready to dive in. The first few nuts were delicious and though soft cashews aren't my favourite, it still complimented the sugar and cinnamon well. My one issue with this, taste wise, is that I got about a third of the way through the packet and the next third consisted of nuts coated in sugar which had burned a bit, leaving a slightly unpleasant taste in my mouth. The last third was a mixture of the two and I shared the nuts between 8 adults and kids and it got a thumbs up from them all.

For the bits made perfectly, this was a delicious snack.

I have always liked cashews, ever since I was a kid. Never could understand why they were called "nuts" when they are nothing of the sort... but hey... they tasted great and that was all that was important back then. And nothing has changed in that regard today - I still love them, except now I love them more!

Having tried a sample of these at the Fieldays event, I knew they were a tasty and very more'ish snack... but I wanted to do something else... so, with my recent passion for making fruit crumbles and experimenting with the topping each time, I set out to do something with these. Granny Smith Apple and Peach Crumble it was... the topping made with flour, butter, sugar and the entire bag - yes, I somehow managed NOT to sneak one or thirty for myself - of these crushed up into tiny bits. Mix well, cover the fruit, in the oven for a while, back out and serve!

Topped with some French Vanilla ice-cream and a heavy whipped cream with some sugar-free drinking chocolate added in... and this was a dessert even the fussiest of my family was snarfing down like it was the last meal of their lives before the world exploded. Very pleasingly, even the youngest - who is also the fussiest - asked for seconds... but NOT of the chocolate cream or the ice-cream... he wanted seconds of the CRUMBLE! This is BIG news for us, really. ^:D

The cashews added a really nice overtone to the crumble topping, giving it a bit of extra texture that was lovely and toasted, without going dry and sharp in the mouth. The Vanilla came through wonderfully - subtle but clearly there, and linked to the unmistakable taste of the cashews. This was, by unanimous vote, the best crumble I had made in a while. I wasn't too sure quite how to take that, as it casts doubt on the praise of previous crumbles... but I'll take the compliment even though the real glory belongs to my new secret weapon... these cashews!

Overall, if they were available in stores, at a slightly more affordable price, I think I would have a kilo of these on hand in the pantry at all times. (Which probably means buying about a kilo and a half a day! ^lol)

From the moment I opened this packet, I was addicted. I was being careful not to gobble them all up before I could stop long enough to review them but I kept sneaking back to eat "just one".

When I got serious about writing my review, I made the silly mistake of offering them to my kids and niece and nephew. They wouldn't leave me alone and all I could say was "go away". I just wanted to get their opinion on them but instead they became addicted too.

We all loved the cinnamon flavour with the cashews. We also found that the nuts were nice and crunchy. Cinnamon is a flavour that I really can't get enough of and I think that the flavouring which has been added to the cashews is just right. As with any product, there are differences of opinion. My husband isn't into things that are too sweet and he found that there was a bit too much sweetness to them. We noticed that the flavour of the cashews were more obvious on the whole nuts rather than the broken nuts. Naturally there was more sugar and cinnamon coverage on the broken bits (tasty!).

I do note that there must be 24% sugar in the packet (given that there are only three ingredients - cashews 73% and cinnamon 3% and the remainder must be sugar). So this would make it very much a "sometimes food" in our household. While I was looking at the back of the packet, I also saw that Nutritional information doesn't seem to work. It says that there are two serves per 100 grams, therefore, with the statistics provided, the "per serve" amounts should be half the "per 100g" amounts. These figures do not correspond. There is a significant difference between the two columns - making the "per 100g" amounts around 7 times the "per serve" amount. For example 2.2g of protein per serve and 15g of protein per 100g. This doesn't seem to add up in my book!

Details aside, I really enjoyed these nuts and the cinnamon flavour was perfect. I will watch out for these again for a special treat.

One of my favourite childhood treats was sugar and cinnamon sprinkled and allowed to caramelise on just about anything. Buttered toast, or bananas were a favourite. This snack bag of Nuttz Cinnamon cashews brings the taste of my childhood together with one of my favourite nut varieties. So it was a great pleasure to get this selection in my review goodies.

Opening the bag, gave that old familiar scent of sugary cinnamon glory. I tucked into some on the sly, and was impressed by the spicy sweet flavour. I did find the nuts texture a little weird at first. They almost felt old, but I realised it was probably from the dry roasting. It didn't affect the flavour though and the nuts were overall enjoyable.

The next thing I did was make a chewy American style cookie and instead of pushing M&Ms into it like I normally would, I pushed the Cinnamon Cashews in, instead. The cookies came out firm but chewy and the flavour of the cinnamon had worked into the dough as well. The taste was really good, and the nuts had pretty good crunch after going through the oven. My husband really liked the cookie, even thought he is not the biggest fan of fans. He thought the flavour was really good and he even asked for another which is a good sign to me! This pack I would consider buying again, though it is very much a treat at this price range.
