My family are sugar laden milk drink mix addicts which worries me as I don't like the little misses having too much refined sugar. Miss Three doesn't like milk too much though and often flavoured milk is the only milk she will drink. I was (and so were the girls ) very keen to try this and see whether it was a good substitute.

Banana is my favourite flavour for cold milk so I was pleased to have this flavour to try. I liked that this was gluten free so no worries about it being in our pantry. It is also free of artificial colours, flavours and preservatives so definitely gets ticks for that. Being nut free also means we can serve this to friends with peanut allergies. The container is pretty cool and the girls liked that it was easy to open. We put the recommended two table spoons in each glasses and added the 200 ml of milk. This was actually a bit strong for all or our liking so we had to add lots more milk before getting a weaker flavour that we all liked.

Everyone loved the taste. I haven't had any products with stevia before and was really surprised that this drink didn't have the horrible aftertaste that comes with artificial sweeteners. I may well be converted to Stevia as a product as well as this drinking mix.

A few nights later I was making custard and thought I would add a couple of spoons of this to the mix. Seriously yummy! The best custard ever and I am now keen to try the strawberry as pink custard would be brilliant!

I can definitely recommend this drinking mix and we will now be purchasing this instead of our usual sugar laden brand. Definitely a brand worth trying and I look forward to trying other flavours in this range.

This drink really is a little gem, and was very well received in our house by all (even the adults too). We don't get a lot of flavoured drinks for the kids it is either plain milk or water but my eldest child will not have any form of dairy be it yoghurt, cheese, milk or what have you so we thought this powdered milk flavouring would be a great way to get her to drink milk. She loves banana milk although she has only ever had highly sweetened varities so this sugar free drink was all new.

I will be honest when she read the container and seen that it was sugar free she was a bit nervous about trying it, she said to me "what if I don't like it?" She had a small tentative sip and declared it wasn't sweet enough, I suggested we put an extra teaspoon of powder in before we rite it off, to start with we had two teaspoons so added one extra teaspoon which gave it way more flavour and sweetness. With this she was happy and proceeded to drink the whole glass.

Master 2 loved it straight from the start he is a real banana maniac so there was no doubt in my mind that he would be sold. Now to stop him wanting banana milk every time he gets a drink! The thing we found was that it doesn't have that artificial banana taste like some milk drinks you can actually taste real banana as if you were drinking a banana smoothie. This got me thinking of baking and other recipes that would normally use real banana.

We made some banana choc chip muffins and some banana choc chip cookies, and we got all the taste of the real deal with out the fuss of mashing bananas or waiting for bananas to become ripe enough for mashing. The kids thought this was great and hoed into the yummy treats with you guessed it a glass of banana milk to wash it down. The great thing is you aren't adding any extra sugar in to the mix by adding the milk powder to your recipe so you don't get a sickly sweet taste.

We stirred in some banana bonanza into the warm rice pudding and we now had banana rice pudding! This also went down a treat and we served it with some fresh banana slices to satisfy the little banana maniac.

We will definitely buy this again as a sometimes drink, as my kids love it and it is nice to know there is not a heap of artificial stuff or sugar contained in the drink. It made me happy to see my eldest girl drinking milk as I know it is a great way to get extra calcium into her body without the fights over the food being yuck.

We were lucky enough to be sent the banana bonanza milk drink to review much to the excitement of both my kids and I. They were excited because we don't get many milk drink flavours in our house. I was excited because I wanted to try it in a cheesecake.

I am loving the fact this milk drink is sugar free, gluten free, yeast free, egg free, among other things. I have a child whom is on a GF diet and also has egg allergies among others so she was especially excited about this. The tin calls for 2 teaspoons per glass of milk. The kids thought it was yummy. I felt the flavour to be very weak but if you added anymore flavour it was not that nice and the after taste it left in your mouth was even worse. I was also surprised that although the contents were a lovely yellow colour when added to the milk the drink itself was not very yellow. All in all the kids were happy and as it was aimed at them, that is what is important :)

I did get the chance to try it as a flavour in a cheesecake. It mixed in well with no grainy feel to the cheesecakeonce mixed but the flavour was very subtle as was the colour. But as it is a drink not a dessert thisis ok. With slightly more mix added it would have made a very nice cheesecake.

I like the packaging. Was initially concerned the lid wasnt really a tight fit for the tin but an attempt to pick up the tin by the lid only was successful lol the price is more than I would pay for the amount you get to be honestbut as my kids want to try the strawberry one I am guessing I will be paying that price for a different flavour :) My kids love it so that has to count for something.

The "sugar free" message not the front of the pack got my attention and I wondered what was in it as there usually is something artificial drinks if they don't contain sugar. I had a look at the ingredients and found that they were quite simple. The main ingredient is Erythritol. That did require a Google search to find that it is a natural product and doesn't have the nasty side effects of sugar (high calories, making blood sugar spike etc).

Before I even gave any to the kids, I just had to do what I loved doing as a child - I wet my finger and dipped it into the container and tasted the powder by itself. Divine! It reminded me of banana lollies and it had a melt-in-your-mouth effect while still being crunchy, like eating sugar. I had to stop myself from continuing.

The kids have really enjoyed having some of it in their milk. Our kids don't generally have drinks other than water and milk. They do have the occasional Milo, so a little variation to their milk was rather exciting.

From my side, it was lovely to be able to offer them a treat that isn't really bad for them. I wouldn't want to give them artificial sweeteners and I get concerned with the high level of sugar that is even in Milo. The packaging suggested 1-2 tablespoons but I think I will stick with closer to a teaspoon for the kids as they are happy with that and it will make the product last longer.

I think that the Avalanche range is likely to appear in our house again. I will watch out at the supermarket to see if it comes on special as it is a little pricey for us to get too often for the kids - especially considering the fact that the kids love it and they keep wanting it when it is in the pantry. It wont last long in our house.

This product was surprising. With the list of things that it lacked; gluten, nuts, wheat, egg, Yeast, GMO, Preservatives, and sugar, I wasn't expecting a very strong flavour. I opened the pack and was slightly disappointed to see that the point inch of the packet was empty. It seemed a bit of a waste of packaging really.

The directions recommended 1-2 teaspoons per 200mL of milk, so I decided to go with 2 teaspoons. With very little change in colour I was unsure whether 2 spoonfuls would be enough, but I took a sip, and wow. The flavour was incredibly intense. This powder is clearly very strong in flavour, so in the future, I'll only be using 1 teaspoon per 200mL. It does definitely taste a lot of banana, but is incredibly sweet, and still had an artifical taste to it. Despite the lack of sugar, it does taste like there is a lot in here, and the sweetness can be quite overpowering.

After testing out this product as per instructions, I noticed a tub of french vanilla ice cream in my freezer and thought "Smoothie!" With several scoops of the ice cream, 100mL of milk, and a scoop of the Banana Bonanza, I had a lovely banana smoothie that filled me right up. Unfortunately, the flat mates saw it, so now I have to share it with them. This product is not going to last long at all!
