This little set of three books really appealed to me even before I read them. Since I have had children, I don't seem to find time to be able to read long books (actually I never was into reading anything too long). The fact that they are short books with little snippets that I could read whenever I found time was up my alley.

The Klutz Book of Inventions Hall of Fame Edition was the first of the three that I read. As I read each invention, I found myself thinking that I could see why someone might come up with a ridiculous idea like that. The fact that the inventions were ridiculous meant that I was giggling to myself as I read them. Why not invent high-heel shoes? I am sure there is a need for them as high heels are so hard to walk in! The time that you or your child is sitting behind a tall person at a movie, show or match, you could see the use in the Inflatable Booster Pants. I think that the Sibling Blind would be an asset to any family vehicle on a car trip where the kids are fighting. Yes, the inventions may be silly but I loved them.

The Book of Facts filled my brain with lots of new facts. This has got to be a good thing. I read this book while I was in hospital and I kept feeling the need to share my new facts with the ladies in my room. That can be rather annoying to the other people so I just kept it to myself. I can see many people liking the fact that making your bed encourages dust mites - this book provides a perfect reason NOT to make your bed.

The Encyclopedia of Immaturity Short Attention Span was the final book in my list. It is a condensed version of the two lengthy versions which have previously been released. I got to the third item in the book and I had to read it aloud to a friend - no stopping me with this one. It took me several attempts as I was in hysterics. While I was reading the item about giving a dog a yawn, I found myself yawning too. I left that page wondering if I could get another animal to yawn. I think I will have to keep this book away from my kids so that they don't use the ideas given in 'The Case Against Chores' or 'Homework Excuses'. I found them really funny and would have to commend the kids if they actually blurted one of them out instead of being grumpy with them. A friend and I read this book while we were away on holiday together. We spent quite a bit of time trying to challenge the 'We Control Your Foot' section of the book. No matter what I did, I still couldn't beat it! While I type this, I have realised that the whole book was so funny and so worth a read that it is difficult not to comment on each section. I think it is fair to say that I haven't laughed so much in ages. Laughing makes me feel young and alive and this book has been great for me. I also have several nieces and nephews (8-13 years old) and I think they would love some of the tricks in the book too.

These books will live at the family beach house as I am sure they will provide serious entertainment in the evenings when we settle down to chat, read books etc. They definitely appealed to my wacky sense of humour.

We are huge Klutz book /kit pack fans in this house and as can be expected with all Klutz products you know you are getting something intriguing, worth while, & pack full of stuff. The Klutz 'The World According to Klutz' is a three book pack. Each book a different title: The encyclopaedia of immaturity - short attention span edition, Hall of Fame edition, and The best facts in the history of facts edition I will write a wee bit on each one.

The encyclopaedia of immaturity - short attention span edition is full of lots of immature stuff really. Theres a quiz / test at the start you can take to see what age you are in terms of maturity, lol, of course all in fun :) Its a nucely set out wee book. The short attention span is right, you definitely need one to read this haha.

Hall of fame edition - book of inventions was my second favorite book in the pack. Full of all kinds if weird and wonderful but seriously bizarre inventions that I actually wonder how people could really think up some of them. Complete with some fantastic picture representations of the inventions I found myself having quite the laugh reading through it.

The book of facts was both my 13yo and my husbands favorite. Both coming to me and announcing the new awesome fact they had just learnt. I had to tell them to ssahhh in the end as I hadnt had a chance to read it yet lol And when I did I must admit this too became my favorite in the set.

These are great wee books, definitely aimed at pre teen - teenage kids or adults with wikedly silly senses of hunour. The three books come packaged in their own box and are a brilliant set perfect for gift giving. They are also easy reading so perfect for boys, especially boys who are not huge fans of reading.

All in all they are a pretty awesome set.

The World According to Klutz comes with three lovely short books, so I shall write a little review on each one. :)

The first one I read was The Encyclopaedia of Immaturity and yup, it's pretty immature. Inside the book you will find a couple of magic tricks as well as just some fun little things, like how to armpit fart, draw a mouse and learn some reasons as to why you can't complete your homework. At the start of the book there's a little quiz where you can learn your maturity age, apparently I'm '19'.

The Book of Inventions has about 100 pages worth of really stupid and bizarre inventions that of course just don't make any sense in real life, however there are two that I could find a use for... One, if slightly modified is a Lawnmowing Tricycle, off ya go kids! And the second one... The Head Pillow. *yawn*

Last but not least, The Greatest Facts, being a random fact geek I was looking forward to this one the most. Having read a lot of facts in my time I knew at least half of the contents of this book, however the pages were done nicely enough that I was more than happy to read them an 11th or 12th time. Some good facts in here, and some extra little tidbits that I hadn't known.

All up these three books are ok but not something that I would have spent my money on.
