PARA Plus is easy to use, for the treatment of Head lice and their eggs and is easy to use on children due to the design of its convenient aerosol applicator.

Para Plus - the only registered Head Lice treatment with two active ingredients: Malathion PLUS Permethrin

- Treatment for Nits and Head Lice
- Increases the chances of successfully treating resistant Head Lice
- Easy to use aerosol spray

Head Lice infestation is a common place condition, especially among school children. If your child is constantly scratching their head, their hair should be examined for Nits (known as Eggs) or Head Lice.

Head Lice start out as Nits / Eggs that stick firmly to the base of the hair very close to the scalp. They can vary in size and will be dark or light - depending on your child's hair colour.

In 7 to 10 days the Nits will hatch into Head Lice which are around 2mm to 3mm long and feed on blood about 5 to 6 times a day.

Head Lice travel from person to person when 2 heads come close together and by sharing combs, hats, hairbrushes. Although Head Lice are not dangerous or disease carrying, the itchiness can be very distressing.

PARA Plus can increase the chances of successfully treating resistant Head Lice.

Head Lice are becoming more resistant to many treatments with one active ingredient, however because PARA Plus has two effective active ingredients, it gives you the advantage of a knock out combination.

In most cases PARA Plus will be effective within 10 minutes of treatment, knocking down Nits and Head Lice in one application. However a second application is recommended in 7 to 10 days to eliminate Head Lice which may have hatched in the intervening time.

Active Ingredients: Piperonyl Butoxide 2.0% w/w, Malathion 0.25% w/w, Permethrin 0.5%w/w.
Dosage: Para Plus should be applied in a well ventilated place, away from any flame or incandescent object. Be careful to protect eyes, nose and mouth with a towel. Spray evenly onto dry hair in short puffs of about 1 second each, so that the scalp and hair are completely soaked.
Leave on for 10 minutes then rinse well with water. Use a fine tooth comb to remove the dead lice.
Warnings: Do not use Para Plus on children younger than 24 months. Do not use Para Plus if an asthmatic condition exists. Do not spray near any flame or incandescent object.
Purpose: Under normal circumstances 1 can of Para Plus is sufficient to treat 3 to 4 people, depending on their hair length.

Yip unfortuantely I have had to use this product many time with a young girl with exceptionally long hair. Touch wood I haven't had to use it in a few years now but boy when she first started school did I go through copious amounts of this aerosol spray. I tried heaps of different products in a desperate attempt to rid our house of the creepy crawly nasties but nothing was more convenient or as effective as this spray.

Shampoo's I found hard to use as my daughter used to hate having her hair washed anyway and would scream blue murder if I tried to leave it in her hair for the time period required. I tried some natural sprays with mixed results and even bought a Robi comb that failed to impress. With this I just sprayed the spray on to her hair until it was all wet and left on for 30 minutes to give it time to work and then just washed as normal.

I used to leave it on for extra time just to make doubley sure it had worked and I probably put way to much in aswell as one can would only do 2 treatments on her hair. I found it didn't dry the hair out, so once you had washed it out it wasn't a struggle to run the nit comb through the hair. After the repeat treatment I found no more nits (until the next outbreak) so found it was effective every time at killing both the lice and their eggs.
