Review #8289 - Dated: 2nd of May, 2013 Author: mizim |
My sole reasons for borrowing this film was Clive Owen and the director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. In this film two children in different countries are visited at night by a faceless intruder, Hollowface, who wants to take possession of them.
This was quite neat in the fact that half the movie was subtitled, so it made it feel both more real and unique. We have a young boy and his mother, and in the other hand we have a young girl and her parents, with only her dad experiencing some of what she is.
The special effects for this are really well done. Everything was seamless and flowed very well. The movie itself flowed very nicely between the two children so there was no feeling of it being disjointed.
This film has a great twist at the end, one that none of us watching didn't see coming till we got till the end and things were unravelling and being uncovered. This is one of the best horror movies I've seen in a while and one that I would watch again.
