I've had this coffee machine for almost three years now. This was my husband's baby #2 gift for me (i get a "compensation" for every childbirth.. but that's another story) and it's still used as much as it was before. The novelty of having a one-touch cappuccino or espresso is still there. I got mine with a 6-month supply of coffee beans too so it was really a good deal. It still hasn't broken or shown signs of wear or tear. I've cleaned it (using delonghi's descaler) twice in the past two years I've had it.

It's easy to use, although I must admit, I read the manual from front to back to make sure I understand each setting. But once you got the hang of it, you don't really need to consult the manual any more. The error messages are easy to understand and trouble shooting is also provided in the manual.

The only criticism I have for it is the "moodiness" of its sensor for the ground coffee beans. It sometimes tells me to "empty coffee grinds" when it's clearly not even half full and sometimes it's still able to grind more even when the container is close to full. Still haven't figured how it does that.

I also find that you have to put it in a well spaced area so that the machine can "breathe" -- make sure not to cover the sides.

All in all, I'm very happy with it -- worth the price tag (but I got it $1,200 back then during a promotion) so it was ok. If I had more money though, I would love to try the prima donna line.

I am so jealous of anyone who has one of these machines it makes coffee making so easy. I stayed with my sister who had treated herself to one of these for Christmas and fell in love with it but it is a bit out of my price range.

I love a good coffee, and I have found with cheaper coffee makers on the market that the coffee is nothing like a coffee that you would get at a cafe but the coffee from this really is. You get a nice creamy cappuccino with just the right amount of milk and no bitter burnt bean or milk taste.

It is so easy to use too, it does everything for you, you fill up the water tank, put milk in the milk jug, and beans in the grinder, then press the button and hey presto you have a great cappuccino. It grinds the beans, it froths the milk and you simply put your glass underneath. You can also opt to just have milk which is great for making fluffies for the children and then you can add hot chocolate to it for a creamy hot chocolate drink too.

It does seem like an awful lot to spend on a coffee machine, but when you think how much money you would spend on coffee out in a year I guess it would end up paying for itself. It is definetly something I am putting on my wish list.
