I was lucky enough to win an IdealCup recently and totally love it! I had actually been on the hunt for a decent takeaway cup over the previous few weeks and couldnt find what i wanted in local shops (The Warehouse, Farmers, Briscoes etc)... This product definitely fitted the description of what i wanted ~ its the perfect size (I didnt want a huge cup but a normal sized cup of coffee size!), it fits into the cup holder in my car (YAY) and its not ceramic so i can chuck it in the dishwasher at work without worry!

First day i took my IdealCup to work i was pretty excited to try it! My boss made me a coffee and pushed the lid on with ease, no problems trying to fit it around the cup or mucking around for ages.

Im an early childhood teacher so having a cup that is safe means i can actually have a morning coffee while I'm with the children ~ the cup definitely gets very warm but not hot like the product inside so i felt it was safe ~ if a child touched it, they would be learning ~ and its definitely not hot enough to burn, even a baby.

This is going to sound silly but i had never considered taking it to my local coffee shop (I buy a coffee once a week) but after reading the other reviews i will definitely be taking my cup with me next time!!

I am definitely going to buy another one (at least) and would highly recommend to friends and family...or perhaps i will buy more and use as gifts :)

[pic^http://bit.ly/QBrW9w^http://on.fb.me/QBrZlG^W^pic]I was so lucky to be sent one of these cups to review - then a few days later won a prize pack containing another. In my house we are pretty fanatical about take away coffee cups. My partner is constantly in and out of vehicles for his work and swears by aluminium cups - apparently they keep the coffee warmer. My favourite could be a bodum one which is completely sealable as i sometimes leave a bit in the bottom and with that cup - it doesn't spill!

Back to the ideal cup - i couldn't wait to put it through its paces! First things first the colours are super cool!! You can see the colours in my photo and my eldest son asked me why i was drinking from a kids cup....clearly he just has good taste! The kids have enjoyed having hot chocolates in them at nights and as they have a lid (more on lids later!) im happy for them to drink it on the sofa.

One of the important aspects to a plastic reusable cup/container is that is doesn't have that awful plastic smell which makes you not want to use it.....(this was the first thing my partner checked when it arrived!) The ideal cup passed that test with flying colours - no yucky smells!!

The plastic is durable and gets warm but not hot when there is a hot drink in it - i like this so if my eldest picks it up - he can tell its going to be hot and not to touch, I wondered how easy the lid would be to clean - but it comes out fine in the dishwasher!

The only downside to this cup is that i don't think the seal is amazing .. its pretty good but i wouldn't trust it in my handbag!! The lid fits on really well and the is no leakage from that, just the top insert bit leaks if you don't have it on correctly and to be honest, i'm not good at fiddling with things! But its not that big of a deal, its pretty much sealed, just if you're really testing its limits there's a few dribbles !! (well in my case - i see another reviewer could get it to seal!)

Overall i really like this cup - i guess my partner's right in saying the plastic ones don't keep the heat the same, but i drink my coffee pretty fast and don't like it boiling hot! It stays hot for a good 15-20 minutes as i make it, get the kids out the house and into the car and somehow manage to have the coffee in the car on the way.

I would recommend this cup, the price is pretty standard, if not on the cheaper side of 'cool' reusable cups and all the cafes i have used it at have been more than happy to refill it the same as many peoples 'keep cups' that are fashionable these days....Oh and did i say it was a New Zealand product?! Big ups on that one!!

Well my first decision with this was what colour lid and cup to choose! I went for the white cup with a purple lid and yellow top. I love it!
Well this cup had to get tested big time so I have put it through its paces with my regular flat white and latte daily fixes (all in the name of research of course).
Firstly how does it look? Well great. Just like a takeaway cup but much funkier and a lot sturdier. Made out of plastic and silicone this is one hardy cup. It has a silicone/rubber type top that closes over the drinking hole in the cup. This slides around when drinking and back to be pushed into place when carrying your drink. It works amazingly well. I dropped a full cup and the lid stayed on and the top stayed closed. There was only a bead or two of spillage. The cup did not leak when carried on its side and only leaked a few drops when carried upside down.

As a mum of three I always get my coffee in a takeaway cup and often use a coffee cup with a lid at home with hot beverages. This cup really does make it a lot safer to be drinking hot drinks around my children and makes me feel a lot more virtuous to not be using disposable coffee cups when out and about.

This cup fits perfectly in my car drink holder and keeps my coffee pretty much just as hot as a normal cup would. It probably isn't as good as an insulated thermos cup but that's okay because that isn't what this is. You won't get burnt hands holding this and the ridgy bits on the cup mean it won't slip out of your hands either. The major flaw is when using this you do need to remember to take it home, wash it and put it back in your bag to have at the ready just in case the urge for coffee occurs. I need more of these as Hubby keeps taking off with mine.

I recommend this cup and it would make a fantastic gift as well. I think this has a multitude of uses from taking to cafes, to using at home, in the car, picnics, tramping, camping and travelling. I only wish I had had a cup like this tripping round the world. It really is fantastic.

Buy not just one for yourself but many!!! This really is the Ideal Cup!

I love my Idealcup.
It's a great size and shape so it does not fall over in the cup holder of my car, other travel cups I have or have used are very tall and due to the lid they are very top heavy and they have a narrower base which makes them topple over easily when cornering so I tend to drive with them between my legs but no more. The thick plastic makes it very durable and makes it so the outside of the cup doesn't get too hot so it doesn't burn your hands.
It is a decent sized cup too, it would hold about the same as my coffee mug. where as other travel mugs I have or have used are narrow inside and hold a lot less than they look like they would hold. The lid is easy to drink from, I have been playing around with the top bit to see if having it turned only a little compared to half way makes a difference to the flow from the cup and it does but not as much as one of the cups I have where if the top is not open properly the drink does not flow at all due to the breathing hole. I also like the little bit that goes into the drinking hole so it doesn't spill as much if it tilts over, there is only a small dribble out the breathing hole.
I have shown my Idealcup to a few friends so far and quite a few are very keen to buy them, I would also consider buying as gifts.

I LOVE my Ideal cup! Versatile, funky colors, easy to use, no burning my hands, no spillage unless I drop it (which by the way I did and it endured the drop just fine without even so much as a scratch and that was on to the concrete)...yep these are the best cups ever.

I was lucky enough to receive a funky green and black Ideal cup...the perfect color combo in my books...looks sleek and fancy as :-) I am unsure what these cups are made of, but I love that they feel soft in my hand, yet they are not soft (if that makes any sense), kind of a rubbery feel.

The other bonus is that the cups do not over heat so the outside stays warm but not to hot to handle, which is fantastic as when you buy takeaway coffee, sometimes the cups are so hot on the outside you do get burnt :-(

When I first tried my Ideal cup, I filled it with cold water and then dipped it straight upside down, there was a small amount of leaking but I could not determine exactly where it was coming from either. So I emptied the cup and refilled it, just in case I did not have the lid on right, and again a small amount of leaking. So I removed the lid once more and tried again...3rd time lucky and no further leaking, so maybe I just did not seal it correctly the first two times. Either way it was now leak free.

The cup is easy to drink from, with not to heavy a flow, and no funny noise when you drink either. I have rated the Ideal cup a ten for everything. The idea behind them is a fantastic one, and I am so glad that I am helping to reduce take away cups by using my new cup. It goes everywhere with me now, and when I have finished my coffee, if there is a little bit still in the bottom I know it will not spill out through my bag.

My only complaint...I need another one, and that is not a real complaint either, its just that my 6yo daughter steals my Ideal cup for her morning milo on the one to school. So if a smaller cup could be made for children, then I would definitely be buying one. :-)

'The IdealCup' is a great idea!! It is very easy to use, even one handed if you are out and about and juggling bags, keys and, like me, children!

It is the perfect size for a refreshing cup of coffee and when I have taken it to my local coffee house they have been more than happy to use it instead of their own take-away cups!

It comes in a range of colours so that you can pick the one you like or get a few and colour co-ordinate with your mood/ outfit!! ^:)

I would thoroughly recommend 'The IdealCup' to my friends and family.
