"Mariska Hargitay....Mariska Hargitay" - One of the funniest moments in this movie. Watching it for the first time we had plenty to laugh about, from the mispronunciation of words to the awful photo shopping of Mike Myer's head on to the body of a pre teen kid. If you like lots of jokes about sex and male only appendages and sex again, then this is a good movie for you to watch, with lots of running gags in it. The only downfall is that I find, like most of Mike Myer's films, I can't watch it too many times as it just ends up loosing its appeal. We watched it a few times and after the fourth viewing I was left wondering if I could convince my husband to part with it, this hasn't happened yet though and it is still sitting on our shelf. The acting isn't anything wonderful, but I wasn't expecting anything great from it. Everything about this movie to me is just average and nothing special at all, the quote at the start of this review is the most memorable part of the movie for me, well, that and the elephants.... Not in any rush to watch this again but if you like Mike Myers then give it a go. |

This movie is brilliant!!!!!! I'd have to say I was very dubious about watching this movie as i have to be in the right mood to watch a Mike Myers film. This movie was a riot from start to finish! It was a little far fetched in places, but in this case it suited the movie. I mean how many people can say they've seen 2 mating elephants on a hockey rink?! Definitely more after seeing this movie! In this movie, Myers teams up with Verne Troyer, who co-starred with him in his "Austin Powers" movies. It was great to see them back sharing the screen, as they compliment each other very well. I thought the storyline was solid. It was all about saving a marriage, winning a Cup and trying to be the next Deepak Chopra. I have to say the songs were a great hit with me and I love the twist Myers put on them to make them unique to him. I will be looking out for the soundtrack!! |
