I was a relatively early adopter of Windows Vista (which was more by necessity than by choice) and whilst it did look at little like Windows XP in some areas most of it was quite different and I was a bit lost in the beginning. Initially I started out by googling anything that I wasn't sure how to do (which was quite a bit at first) but this was both tedious and time consuming, so when I was offered this book I jumped at the chance as I had read and used other Dummies books before and found them to be very easy to understand and yet didn't make me feel like I was the intellectual equivalent of a rock. This book was no exception. It starts as all the Dummies books do with the basics like the Desktop, the Start menu and most importantly how do I use the new look Start Menu. From there it delves further into the mysteries of Vista and makes you realise how easy Vista really is to use. |
