There are men's books and there are MEN'S BOOKS. This one is very much the latter. Allow me to explain.

A man's mind is a minefield of trivia, which is carefully collected, collated, stored and brought out at the most inopportune moment. We thrive on utter trivia, and the ability to out trivia some other trivia expert. With this manual, we are now the ultimate in trivia collectors.

If you are the type to know that a pregnant goldfish is not called a twit because there is no such thing as a pregnant goldfish, and know off the top of your head that a goldfish is oviparous and not viviparous then this truly is the book for you.

If you are the person who knows that an apple is a pome, a strawberry is an aggregate drupe and a coconut is a seed - this book is for you. We are the same type of person that would argue that tomatoes and aubergine do belong in a fruit salad because they are fruits and we will be damned cussed about it.

If you are the person who... well, you get the picture. This is the ultimate book for causing arguments and settling other arguments.

Will the ladies enjoy this book? Possibly. Probably even. But I get the sense that this is a book of purely testosterone trivia treasure and will be savoured for years to come. The only problem I can foresee - will books 2, 3 and 4 be publish soon enough for us manly men?
